MiX's perfect sacrificial plan:

- Dylan votes for me: I die if both are mayors.
- I unvote fang and both mayors vote fang: fang dies if 1 mayor and 1 liar
- Everyone votes me: we confirm mayor+drunk, or drunk+anything.

This seems workable. It helps us know what we have without specifying who is which role. On the face of it, MiX looks pretty towny for suggesting it. The scum narrative would be that he is so confident that there wouldn't be two mayors that he is willing to take this gamble. I don't understand step three, though. Who is "everyone"

We should obviously not switch to fang. First of all, there isn't time to coordinate the mayors switching votes as Joseph already said he might not be there for the deadline, and secondly, if MiX is scum with a scumpartner fakeclaiming, this may be a last-ditch effort to secure a different exile.

We can obviously switch to fang. After proving one of the mayors is a drunk, we can test the rest tomorrow. Which means you only need to put someone on X-1. Then we can exile.

...can we take a look at when fang said I was scum? He does not know I'm scum. That part of his post made no sense. His entire case is around me doing a play that is supposed to help scum. This is not nearly enough to simply say I'm scum.

Joseph, if you want people to vote freely then I think you (and Dylan) need to be not voting.

I think lots of people should vote for MiX, because he is scum, but as it stands they can't because of fearing they'll mess up a test.
Hold out for Dylan to come and run the test if you prefer, but I have a feeling it is stopping people voting where they want to.

Are you saying this is a scumslip? That seems weird to me. I could see it if he (or someone) said "MiX is town" because that's something scum knows. But not with declaring someone as scum. That would just fit more into the style of town feeling strongly about a suspicion and stating that way (something which you, my friend, do very often, no?)

That said, I'm still on fang for today, as I still believe his earlier stretches on a case for me where overdone and felt inorganic. I just don't think this is extra evidence for it.

I've been noodling on the MiX case, as well, and it's not entirely without merit. I could see him trying something like what faust suggested (I am on team - not two mayors), and I also am noticing that MiX is not posting with that same "directness" he normally posts. And if it turns out we exile Mix and he is scum, some of EFHW's recent post feel like they could be a partner.

I wasn't giving MiX town cred for not going after WCD. The opposite in fact. He said faust had convinced him about Didds being scum but wouldn't vote there because of the mayor situation. Fair enough. Then Dylan unvoted. That was the time at which MiX could have joined the wagon. But he didn't. And he was around, made other posts during that time.

Also, I think your recent vote count looks about right, in which case there is a good chance the day is still going on. Let's not let MiX trick us into no-exiling.

MiX was asking what changed fang from townreading to scumreading MiX. You are asking the reciprocal question, what changed MiX'sread on fang. I just want to clarify that it's a separate question, not a following up on MiX's question.

I don't consider Dylan's vote, because he's a mayor. At the time there were...what, 2 non-mayor votes on Didds? 3? I wanted 2 non-mayor votes and 2 mayor votes on someone.

Well, time to make a legacy. I will split this into multiple posts because I don't know when math gets here.

EFHW is town. Evidence:

I reread fang. His early posts are pretty fluffy, but then later he does seem to be doing scumhunting. I feel less confident about my vote, but this being D1 close to deadline, I'll stay there until find something better.

Absolutely zero reason to say this if she's scum. It's also pretty townie.
