Rules question:  Is singular close enough to count as the plural?  (Password was "Slippers")  If "Walk" and "Walking" are close enough, I'd think singular/plural is also close enough, but throw it open for discussion if folks disagree.

Did both of you know the word Pantofle beforehand?  I worry about this turning into a "look up obscure synonym" game.

I admittedly did not. I'm not that worried about synonyms because most words don't have something like pantofle and those that don't risk the 2 punch

It already kinda is.

Psh, that's the last time I decide not to use google as part of my clue giving. ;)

For the record, I had considered Quadriga as the clue...

To be fair, Verecund IS a word that I use. I took Latin as my first "second" language growing up. Studied it for 6 years.

However, Quadriga is not.

Yeah, I get a chuckle looking at this. Over at I, we're just happy trying to avoid having the word guessed on the first clue.

Yup.  That's what I get for picking a clue with an obscure reference, only completely forgetting about the very much non-obscure one.  ;D
