We are already talking about claiming I guess? My stance is that we go all out and claim everything or claim nothing and let the chips fall where they may for D1

Which practically speaking means no claiming because no way everyone will agree on claiming d1

Indeed it did, and I'm not even sure what for. The whole drafting was for a bunch of things that we didn't know what they did and everyone ended up getting one anyway.

No issue with it at all.  As there is no discussion on how the results occurred, it only serves for item claiming stuff anyway.  Like, I see value in people ranking the items by value (understanding scum probably lies) and keeping that as a data point for future claims. 

Knowing draft order in advance of claims helps sort likelihood of lies, but there is an ancillary benefit to scum guessing what is/isn’t safe to claim.  Then again, with the swing/miss mechanic, who knows?

Knowing your pair partner could help with some determinations, too. At the very least, claims should include draft number and round.

why would scum lie about what item they got/bid on? do you think certain items are scummy/towny just based on their names?

Scum just lie, even if it doesn’t seem sensible.  I think.

Or they don’t want town knowing what item they got due to the name.  Or they want someone to counterclaim an item because they are an item cop or something.  Dunno.  They just lie.

I think if we don’t talk about our draft order spots, won/lost items, etc., the long N0 will definitely feel like a waste.

I don't think it's a good idea for everyone to claim. Mass claims early in RMM tends to very much favor scum if it's this early.

And just claiming draft spots will problably not give us too much to go on. I think.

The good thing about that is flavor really doesn't matter for scum/town.

That creates accountability because scum has to choose what they want to claim. It might even allow some investigative roles to hide behind their District partners so as to not get killed.

Of course it will inevitably reveal some information to scum.

I did not get my item in the first round of drafting.

I don't think it's a good idea for anyone else to claim whether they got an item in the first round of drafting.

This, but I also want to say that I really wanted to go against ash here. But I won't, I think a full claim is good here.


My own original thoughts: faust's scummy for thinking cayvie's town, Lekkit is a great human being but why should I share my read on them specifically? And I think claiming to your district bud the item (but not the PR that comes with it) is good now. A fullclaim should come D2, I believe.
