I don't like the mcmc lynch but I don't like the schadd lynch ethier. Would much prefer a IDPTG lynch. Schadd is a acceptable lynch to me though. Can we get a IDPTG lynch going?Vote: IDPTG I think mcmc is just trying to scum hunt here and is just a misguided town going after someone who in all fairness looks scummy if you haven't really played with schadd.

Yeah, the posts from the last time I was on this morning to now have sort of moved me towards seeing town!schadd. My biggest hesitation is that he very well could just be really good at talking his way out of a corner.

i would think that i'm kinda good at it, but to this day i don't really know what the townie reaction to getting wagoned is, or how to not have that happen. suffice to say i'll be looking at this game when i'm scum, l0l


i've only been lynched once, and it was because (essentially) i had been copped. you can see my defense here. i did do some AtE there. i don't think i've ever been concerned about being lynched other than that (i got to L-1 in my MS game but pretty much everyone off wagon had townread me pretty hard)

I was scum with him in M87 where he acted very similar but that's how he usually plays no matter what. I still would take the chance he is scum and if not then he's just a Vt.

So I just read all of faust's posts from this game and NM9 to compare this faust to scum!faust.  He seems more sure of himself and confrontational to some degree here than he did in NM9 (besides his head-to-head with Calamitas over the setup stuff).  His average post length there seemed longer by a decent amount there too, although some of that is boosted by his early game posts where he was trying to get the game moving by providing talking points and stuff for the newbies. The thing that concerns me is that if I didn't know that game pretty well to begin with, my gut would probably have townread him had I not been his partner, so I really doubt my ability to read him at all.

PPE-Not only was it an unannounced L-1, but the reasoning is pretty off. If you have a town read on someone, you shouldn't vote for them on account that they're 'just a VT.'

LL's vote at #548 was either L-1 (unannounced) or a fake/failed vote, depending on how the mod rules.

I switched to mcmc at #567, and Awaclus did the same at #571. Jake didn't join the schadd wagon till #579.

Anyway, after all that, the deadline is not very far away, most of the European players are about to stop being online. Anyone using "risk of lynching" as a reason to unvote now is looking a bit scummy themselves.

My interpretation of the current vote count (if LL's vote at #548 is allowed) is:

schadd (4): mcmc, faust, LL, Jake
mcmc (5): schadd, gkrieg, Calamitas, Space, Awaclus {L-2}
LL (1): Robz
faust (1): RR
Not Voting (2): IDP, Dylan

I'm not I said that I think he's acting similarly to M87 where he was scum and survived on D-3 based on a meta that he always acts scummy and I'm saying that we can't take the chance of him being scum based off of how his meta. Also it's a massive thing to lynch scum D-1 so I think the possible reward of him being scum and the risk is lowered by the fact that he may be a Vt. Also Vt is easy to claim as scum because you don't have to use powers and there's no reason for scum to kill you therefore making it a great claim role. Also I have been lynched on this exact reasoning on D-1 of  M88 so it's not like it's a new concept.

Bear in mind that Calamitas and faust are offline, and I'm about to be offline too (it's after 1am, which is my absolute cut-off for going to sleep!), and I expect we've lost Awaclus by now too... deadlines at this time of night suck for Europeans!

I'm here! I've sort of read things, very hastily.

I'm in a weird place, in that I think people have raised good pts about why schadd would be town--people being Calamitas, mostly--but I'm still sort of inclined to lynch him. It does sort of feel like when mcmc caught Eevee right off the bat in M-90.

Anyway, I definitely wouldn't lynch mcmc, so if it's between him and schadd, it's going to be schadd for me.

I don't know. It was pretty time prohibitive to find your actual defense in the mafiascum game because of the 100+ pages in that game...  Like I said, this is kind of just a gut feeling thing. I would much rather have something concrete to go off.  In addition, after looking back at mcmc, I just don't see as much of a scum narrative as I see for you.  It's pretty weak, but it's just enough to support my gut, so I'm going with it.
