There are still some games missing, but they don't affect any outcome for the semi-finals. It would be great if they could still be played, but that's just me disliking leaving open results.

So I talked it over with my team mates; it doesn't make much sense to delay the tournament over this. It's really unfortunate but it's not only my tournament life at stake -- it's my entire team's as well. I will continue to feel bad that it was potentially a misclick (plus some other good luck for me) that resulted in us advancing but a win is a win and that's the way it went down.

Sorry for the waffling, everybody.

Alright, I definitely don't force a rematch here. If it would have been Goko's fault, it would be a totally different story. I hope retlet doesn't feel to bad about this. Misclicks happen all the time and I for myself have lost a couple of matches only because of misclicks or miscounting. Cheer up, it's still only a game.

Andrew Iannaccone vs Java Sparrow: AI 4 - JS 2

A Rebuild mirror with Monument and Great Hall.  I lose the Duchy split.  I also waste a Rebuild play by forgetting which VP cards I have.

Rebuild with Duke and Beggar.  I lose the Duchy split but somehow catch up... maybe from my Beggars' Silvers.

Java Script Java Sparrow gets to Merc first, mostly because I opt for a T2 Loan (the bane) and then hit $2 on T4, so I go into my second shuffle with only 1 Urchin, 1 Young Witch.  Menagerie and Beggar complicate things, so I maybe I still have a chance after JS gains Mercenaries on T5 and T7, but I don't manage to pull it off.

JS has 5/2 against my 3/4 on an Ambassador-friendly board with Colonies. He gambles on Rebuild.  I'm not sure whether this is his best hope in a bad situation or simply a guaranteed loss.  His best alternative (Amb/nothing) also doesn't look too hopeful.  I open Amb/Amb and build an engine that wins handily.

Lots of medium-strength cards here.  JS plays straight BM with a single Remodel.  I have a 5/2 open, so I go Junk Dealer/Duchess and follow up with a bunch of Labs.  This is probably wrong, but I'm irrationally biased towards Labs for some reason.  Shuffle luck and FPA gives me a 1 VP win.
