I went to this page every day for 3-4 days after doomsday hoping beyond hope that I would wake up and it was all just a bad dream.  Even now, I couldn't help but click on the link and long for the sweet simplicity of isotropic dominion

Man. I had four strips of bacon yesterday. Was one automatically undercooked, one automatically overcooked? No, let's put a stop to that right here, all four strips were excellent.

Yah, I posted it partly in the hopes that it has some sort of hidden mechanism that brings Dominion back "due to popular demand" if the total number of visits past the shutdown exceed a large number that would never be reached unless Goko totally fucks up.

Nothing happening on Goko. 44 people in Counting house, can't see who, can't create game. Sigh.

Victim of their own success ?

Tried to play adventures since multiplayer was broken. The code to reduce your zaps works but the code to actually launch the game does not. Brilliant.

something that seems to work is to try and go to an empty room, while the rooms lobby is still loading. you have to refresh maybe once or twice.

Once you are in the empty room you can create and play games, without delay. Not the most fun in the world, but at least you can try out whacky strategies.

this way i got a couple of games running (even yesterday evening).

Now I get it, Goko has been shutting down online Dominion implementations like Isotropic, and now they're shutting Goko Dominion down because that's an online Dominion implementation as well!

I also had this problem yesterday.
Today I have a new problem!
partway through my game, the game seized up and caused firefox to flicker, then when it reappeared all the graphic elements were all messed up. (the background was inside cards instead of where it was supposed to be etc.) then the screen went black.
Tried to post on getSatisfaction and made the mistake of using my google id (apparently I'm supposed to wait for a verification code I'm never going to get since they didn't save my email anywhere, i guess)
so anyways, here's some pictures.

Edit: All of these problems seem to be symptoms of their server being overloaded somehow, but I'm not sure how that's possible-- I doubt the amount of people playing online has increased. Are they using the server for something else?

Workaround is to log to GetSatisfaction with "previous Google account".
Log In -> Click here if you already have a Get Satisfaction account -> Google -> Login with Google -> Welcome YourRealName -> Profile Information -> fill Goko username to Nickname and hide Real Name

Is it possible that all the "is Goko down" stuff is really just the new Goko normal?

It has been impossibly slow and laggy for over a week now.  Seconds between every click, longer load times for lobbies, etc.

Maybe it feels like it's down but really it's just terrible again?

Didn't they say somewhere that iso would go back up if goko went down (permanently)?

No one actually said that, no, but I hope DougZ would be at least open to the suggestion.

Ironically, all these Goko issues started happening the day I decided I would take a prolonged break from Dominion.
