Voltgloss is notably absent which is raising my suspicions on him.

I was off-wagon but I'm not exactly sure how I'm categorized as out of the spotlight. What do you mean by that?

Among the two of you, I agree Voltgloss has been the most absent.

When I still categorize you as outside the spotlight, I mean that you have not been he center of talk during the day, nor have you come with any posts that starts a discussion or otherwise attract lots of attention.

The people I would say have been in the spotlight is Ashersky, Jimm, EFHW, mail-mi and faust. This is fewer than normal, and the reason is probably that Ashersky claimed scum and caused the day to end early.

I directly opposed the most obvious lynch. I'd call that attracting attention and thus being in the spotlight. Were I Mafia I would have either been on wagon or off and quiet. Now, I can see why my behavior might indicate I was ashersky's partner.  I recall directly implicating ashersky as being the axe-thief which would be truly terrible play of me if I were his partner.

Yeah, I reviewed. I joined the ashersky wagon at exactly the same time as xeiron implicating ashersky of being the axe-thief. So, if we are going to twist that into me being ashersky's partner by way of conflating it with staying out of the spotlight, despite my direct opposition to his lynch in the end... I will have to seriously question xeiron's alignment.

So, xeiron, why have you dropped your line of questioning about Jimmmm's allusion to xerxes being scum?

I am actually the worst possible target.
This will become obvious later in the game.
If mail-mi should decide to use his ability on me, please declare so before you do, and give me a chance to claim.

He stopped asking before Jimmm explained, but that's why he isn't asking now, I think.
Worst possible target: the only possibilities I can think of are a role that you don't want mafia to know about (in which case you blew it by bringing this up) or you're an anti-godfather, which is rather unlikely and a cheap way out of this.

I say go ahead with the shot.

As I understand it the acid test only reveals alignment, not the role, unless of course it manages to kill a scum faction.

Thus, there is no worst possible target when alignments are unknown.

Through my own judgement, I am not going to shoot xeiron today. I might state reasons later, but they should not be posted now.

I currently imagine mail-mi wearing a dark trenchcoat and a bowler hat, hunched over a bit, toothpick in his mouth, holding a gun in his pocket.  One bead of sweat trickling down his nose.

Thank you.

I feel right now nothing is happening.
Here is my scum to town list:

Scum
Pingpongsam - Off wagon. Feels scummy. I do not have anything concrete on him. Slight scum.
Null
Voltgloss   - Have not been around for some time now.
Morgrim7  - Few posts. I find nothing that could indicate alignment.
BoxofDog - Few posts. I find nothing that could indicate alignment.
Chairs - Few posts. I find nothing that could indicate alignment.
Town
XerxesPraelor - He reacted towny to the Jimm vote, and is trying to use QT-flavour for scumhunting. I would like some mor posts from him, though. slight town.
Faust - Active player. Using his role to scumhunt (or SK-hunt). own
EFHW - Is almost masons with jimm after ashersky died.
  Jimmmm - se EFHW
mail-mi - Claims that he will kill scum or flip town today. Probably true, as it will be hard to fake.
  Xeiron - Town

Wait, quick question, has anyone claimed doctor?

My night action would be rather.. Personally fatal, if there isn't ._.
But I have a strong feeling there is, seeing as someone was either healed, mafia didn't try, or mafia did try, but it didn't work.

Think we should start dragging claims in?
*shrug*
It's not up to me, that's why I'm asking.

I can explain everything now. I'm a Desperado. During the day, I may target someone. If they are mafia, they die. If they are town, I die and they don't. You lose me, but gain an IC. (Unless I hit scum which is great.)

So who is a good IC if they are town, and super dangerous if they are mafia?

Ah... so then it's not really worthwhile for you to take a pot shot at me, because we'll lose you.  I thought you were just creating an IC with no major cost.

Could be interesting to claim.

I think mail-mi should shoot Morgrim7 or EFHW today.  I just have a feeling re: EFHW, nothing concrete, sorry.

No one has claimed.
But as you mentioned we have one missing nightkill, so there is likely there exists a role that can stop kills, like a Doctor.

I am not sure if massclaims is a good idea.
I remember Innovation. The last game Archeype modded. Scum had a PR-stealing action that would have been very strong after a massclaim.
Scum could have something in this game too, that makes massclaim a bad idea.
Since town is in such good shape, I think that we should refrain from claiming today.

Sounds good.

Like chairs said, claiming doctor would be 'interesting', but very likely harmful to town.
So yeah, unless we need too, I feel as well that we shouldn't do much claiming.

OH! And one last thing.

We may need to be wary of the idea of a renegade, or whatever you guys call it on forums.
Where they win if you lynch them.

So any purposeful scummy behavior we should at least be cautious of.

Seriously, this exists? Holy cow, if I wanted to get lynched I could so get lynched without breaking a sweat. That seems like a totally dumb role.

So, mail-mi, do you need to get a town consensus to make your shot, or are you just wanting help with the decision?

Also, we have some major lurking going on.  There is the bunch of us talking actively, and then the bunch that aren't.  Besides Voltgloss, who seems to be MIA, there is Morgrim, Xerxes, Box and chairs who have popped in briefly lately, but really been in the background for most of the game.

I haven't heard of that renegade role either.

Jester, I think, is the common name around here.
And I think there is consensus on f.ds that jesters should not appear outside of bastard games, so we do not need to worry about that.

Aah, I see.
Yeah, that's a pretty common thing for me in real life mafia.
I wasn't sure whether or not that was the case for the forums.

Mail-mi?

Hm. I dunno.
There really isn't much information to go off of, and I know there isn't much to go on for, either.
Before we take any action against Voltglass, we should probably poke him, get his attention, etc.

Currently, my other other 'gut' suspicion is Faust.

So, I'll do a quick reads list as well.

From scum to town:

BoxOfDOG: Contentless up until the last few posts (after being called out for it). Advocating a mass claim (and, specifically, a doctor claim). Suspecting me (OMGUS alert!). Scum read.

pingpongsam: Feels off. The off-wagon thing I don't hold against him, but the way he defended it later seemed scummy (like "but how can you suspect me for that? I did it specifically to look townie"-scummy). Doesn't want to be targeted by mail-mi. Medium scum read.

Morgrim7: Null. Lurking.

Voltgloss: going to be replaced. Null until now.

xeiron: Acts pro-town generally, but I'm still a little suspicious. Null.

xerxes: Also null.

chairs: Agreed to be targeted by mail-mi. Slight town read.

EFHW, Jimmmmm: likely town for reasons already stated.

mail-mi: Town.

Actually, I agreed to be targeted by mail-mi. I suggest otherwise because I'd rather a Mafia dies and we keep mail-mi. But if it makes you feel better go ahead and kill mail-mi to prove how off base you are.

No.. Actually a bit of a coincidence.
I actually found time in my day to get on, and decided to post.

Being called out had nothing to do with me posting.

Nor did I advocate a mass claim. I was asking if that was a viable course of action.
Soon after, Xeiron noted that it's probably not.

The only valid thing on your scum-read about me is your OMGUS.
