In fact, vote: ashersky. Maybe he doesn't want the covering foliage of the forest destroyed and this is why he pushes Jimmmmm so hard.

Why is the foliage bad?

I think the foliage stands for an obstructed view, and that if it is cleared, we might see who the players living in the forest really are (i.e. town or scum). And that ashersky doesn't want that to happen.

Your 180 is hilarious.

Your interpretation is...a stretch?  If Jimmmmm is a cop, you just did a heck of a lot of out him.  That was anti-town at best, scummy at worst.

He is better outed than lynched today, which is what I could easily see happening if this wasn't pointed out. Also, there are more investigative roles than just cop, some of which are weaker, and we are all PRs, so outing one PR isn't that bad.

For the record, I believe that if mail-mi is telling the truth (which seems more likely true than not) then the person in question is in fact scum, but not me. This person has an axe associated with their flavour (are there any possibilities for this) but already knew full well not to say anything about it. The main candidates for this person are ash and EFHW.  I do not believe that destroying the foliage is metaphorical or a good thing to do.

Well, true, but that's up to him (if he's a cop).  He claims "dudes, I'm a cop, don't lynch me" when it seems like he's really in danger.  That's the way it works.  You don't get to go "but dudes, he might be the cop due to these things I'm picking up on and want to make sure everyone, including scum, hears" and "save him" for towncred.

If you think you were saving him from being lynched, you are overreacting.  We ran a wagon up on Jimmmmm, people made statements, took sides, etc.  A ran is running on me, currently.  Same deal.  This is the game.  No one is getting lynched right now.  If a quick lynch occurred, well, scum was stupid.

You saw an opportunity to seem towny by coming to the aid of an important PR, so you painted Jimmmmm like an important PR and defended him.  All AFTER you found my points compelling enough to vote for him.

Classic scum behavior, man.

Morgrim mentioned some folks I felt didn't really make sense for the game, but at least have axes.

I think faust is wrong in calling the clue "misleading."  I do not think that Arch would use misleading clues here, especially after the controversy that came from the "normal" M31 and then helping me with BM14.  He knows what's BM and what's not, and misleading is (we've all NOW agreed) is BMish.

It's possible we're all just reading way too much into the clues.

That's a good point. I think it much more likely to implicate one of three than just one.

I don't know, something strange is going on. I agree that mail-mi's clue on face value points me being scum, but that's just not how it works. We're not playing some second-rate kids' game where all you have to do is put all your information together. I have to assume that if mail-mi's telling the truth, then his clue means something and is true. The only conclusion for me then is that it's talking about someone else, someone who knows not to claim having an axe. And, you know, it says "in the Forest", so my main suspects for this other person with an Axe are you and EFHW, since I know you are both also in the Forest. It could definitely be talking about someone else.

By the way, I'm not necessarily saying he's a Cop, I'm saying you might think he is an investigative role.

I agree that it was a little careless of me to not read mail-mi's clue thoroughly and just join the wagon based on "oh, he has an axe! He must be scum!". Sorry about that.

I agree there.  Part of my clue mentions something that points to yet another way of killing that makes me think of mafia.  I'm sure you can guess.

Multiple types of scum in a game this size?  It seems like 2 teams of 2 is about as many as you could safely do.

But poison or fire or mafia...dunno.

Some parts of this passage will be pure flavor, but others will drop tidbits of information about the game's setup.


We should absolutely use them, discuss them, interpret them today.

I'm just not sure that every letter of every word has fourteen sub-meanings that we can glean through yoga and eye contact.
