Day 1!
~Dogs~

So, I was surfing around Imgur.com, and stumbled upon an extremely large photo-set, explaining the history of dogs, and their domestication.

It said that when we were 'cave men', wolves were the most feared of all animals. He said that one wolf in the dark can hunt down injured prey for miles, so imagine what an entire pack could do in broad day light?
It was pretty awesome, going into detail about how their snouts and teeth are superior to that of a cat, and how they were domesticated
(It was a mutual respect thing. Dogs are boss like that.)

I never was a dog person until I got one.  Now I'm almost a caricature of a dog person.  It's ridiculous.

Nice! Yeah, I've had my dog for around 8 years.
They tend to get really grumpy over the years if they're male, but being there along the way is adorable, and amazing.

My family got the most adorable beagle puppy over the summer. I moved away for school four days later.

Life isn't fair. :'(

Awwwh.. Whyy.
That's stupid.

I'm guessing this is for college, so why didn't they just give 'em to you? I know that my brother had his dog with him all the way through college, and past grad-school..

I'm okay with a dog, but not in the house.  I was raised out in the country where loads of people have "outside dogs."  Dogs who don't live in the same living space as their family.

My wife wants a little dog to keep in the house.  Something she can cuddle up with in her arms.  I keep telling her that those aren't dogs, they are barking rats, but she just rolls her eyes.  I'm obviously a very sensitive husband.

My apartment doesn't allow any pets. :( In addition to that, though, he was specifically for my mom, who's been wanting to get a dog for a couple of years. Fortunately they send me lots of pictures and videos! :>

Aaah, I see.

Apartments are dumb, though "We allow cats. Dogs are not allowed."
I've always despised cats, for multiple (valid) reasons.

I think the only reason he was able to keep him is because for the 6 years he was at college and uni, he had an actual house with roommates.

I've never had a pet myself, but I always wanted a dog as a kid.  A lot of my friends are cat people, and I find that I quite like them too.

The opposite of this happened to my dad, kinda. Apparently he was a dog person until he married my mum, who was a cat lover. At that point my dad disliked cats. She already had a cat or two, so my dad had to live with them and get used to them, and eventually grew to love them. Now I sometimes hear him talking to the cats when he thinks nobody can hear him, or walk around the house carrying our shoulder-riding cat (who loves it), then sitting down with her still firmly attached. He still likes dogs, I think (as does my mum), but he's never going to suggest getting one when he could get two more cats instead (which incidentally is not currently happening)

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

You know, I was like this as well. My family always had big, outsidey dogs (Black Russian Terrier earlier, now Rhodesian Ridgebacks) and I always loved the so much (Ridgebacks especially). I also always dissed the small, "pet" dogs  calling them not-dogs, or big rats and so on.

Than my cousin got a Pug.
That dog.
Is just so freaking awesome. It's 100% non-stop fun with her. So loyal, so cheerful and energetic all the time, I love that thing.

Me too. I have 2 cats in my house right now. They're quiet, don't slobber and don't have to be taken for walks.

Day 2!
~Drawing~

This is a pretty cool topic for me, because I've been drawing actively since I was really little.
I do mostly portraits at this point (for fun.)

It's always been interesting in my opinion, that someone's skill with this type of thing starts somewhere.
Most people get the exact amount of encouragement early in life to strive to be better at it later. It's pretty cool what one person's influence can do.

Whenever I draw something, I know immediately that it looks bad. Not sure if that makes me bad at drawing or good at understanding visual art.

Hah!
Maybe a little bit of both..?

I usually just decide for myself if it looks bad or not, once I've finally come up with the final product.

Drawing started in the base set with the card Smithy, which gives +3 cards.  Drawing is often an important aspect of an engine deck, since it allows you to get many cards in hand to play all in one turn.  Many decks without a surplus of villages also rely on non-terminal draw, like Laboratory, to increase hand size without using up scarce actions.

Or did you mean drawing, like when we finish the game with the same score and same number of turns?

I mean drawing, like when you have a pencil in your hand, and you press it against a piece of paper to create lines xD
