How to fix Submissions that fail

Okay, I've set this up as a place people can refine their non-first submissions to the mini-set.

I'll begin with my card Relic. If I was to submit it now I'd have

Relic
Treasure - $6
Worth $1.
You may trash any number of action cards from play. +$2 and +1 VP per card you trash this way.

How can it be improved?

Redesign $4 Action-Looter
+1 Card
+1 Action
Gain a ruins, putting it in your hand. You may play a ruins from your hand. If you do, return it to the supply.

A Golden Deck of two Relics and three Fortresses would pull in 18VP 12VP per turn.

12VP, isn't it?

If it trashes from play, a golden deck can sill get 8 VP a turn, but that's much more reasonable than twelve. I guess I'll make it +1 VP then.

Xerxes, if you've edited the original it would be helpful for people like me who are just coming in to keep the older versions around for reference. :)

I like the card as it stands ($1, $2/2VP for actions trashed from play).  It's like a hybrid Gold/Duchy if you expect it to collide with one or two actions, with potential for doing better or worse but not getting absurd since you're degrading your deck.  (Fortresses are a fun extra.)

Just FYI, I plan to stipulate that the second Prosperity card we make cannot be a Treasure or use VP tokens. Gotta get some variety in there.

:( So much for fixing up Philanthropist then.

...spin-offs are still better for all of the previously cited reasons.
But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

I'll post a somewhat-fixed up version of my Hinterlands card when they are revealed.

I thought the Cornucopia Expansion already covered that.

I was just waiting for somebody to say that. Surprised it took this long.

Oh, and while we're on the subjects (of Cornucopia and me shooting down card ideas), one of the stipulations of the Cornucopia contest will be that your submission cannot use or refer to Prizes!
