hi guys just read a message from the goko staff in chat that in about one hour we will be able to buy the remaining promos for 100 VP each.
the question is will there be enough adventures to reach all 5 promos?

Right now there isn't, but eventually yes. However, even with a Guilds campaign it won't be enough to even get 4 of the 5 Promos. So yeah... we need more adventures.

there should be another way to get VPs like goko organised small tournaments or achievments (win 5 games in a row/ win without buying a province /...)

I just hit 100VP—and Black Market is coming out? Timing!

EDIT: And here's a trial game. The (Firefox) log viewer copes fine. It's an Iso-style limited Black Market deck:

Hmm, Adventurer is a pretty strong card when you're starting each game with 7 Silvers.

Man, I hope they add a way to get shields soon. I feel really dumb for buying a card I hate thinking I'd one day be able to get all five of them anyway.

Hmm, Stash or Black Market?

For those of you with the User Extension, if you use the extension to create a game with a code like "Intrigue", is the Black Market deck also all Intrigue? Would it be possible for the Extension control what's in the Black Market in some other way?

Since I could make the extension let you specify cards even for pro games you host, I imagine controlling the Black Market would be possible

That would be wonderful. I would love to have a Donald X. style Black Market deck, a.k.a. a game of Prosperity and Alchemy where the Black Market that's just Hinterlands, for example.

I enjoy the adventures where I can use zaps to get my deck back to 3 Estates and 7 Coppers. The adventures where I'm stuck with 5 dead cards are just infuriating.

After my first test, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works. It spreads out the cards of your deck (face down, of course), and clicking on a card places a Stash above it. There are also buttons for the top and bottom of the deck.

Well, Black Market is interestingly glitchy. Tell me what you notice that's odd about the opening turns.

If someone could report this on Getsatisfaction (if it isn't already) that'd be great. I can't seem to login there anymore.

Edit: The main oddity here is that my deck, despite the log saying otherwise, consists of 3 coppers and 3 estates. My opponent is less fortunate and starts with 1 copper and 3 estates. There's also weirdness like Gold and Coppers in the Black Market deck but that's been noted before.

Edit 2: That said outside of obvious glitches, the interface for Black Market is very nice. It draws the cards over the supply, but you can click on them to move them away so you can see the supply. Unfortunately that means you can't click on them to zoom in and read them, which considering they're cards not in the current game is something people would probably want to do....

The only reason I can think of why they don't allow you to outright buy them is that playing through the adventures may make some people want to buy more expansions (to unlock more Adventures). Or maybe they function as a usable achievement for completion, or something.

But if you already own all of the expansions, playing more Adventures definitely won't lead to any more money for them, so why not unlock the ability to buy the promos after buying all the expansions? I don't really have a good answer for that.

On the plus side, having the promos so hard to get makes it much less likely for me to come across Black Market in a game on Goko.

And that, my friends, is a very good thing indeed.
