So there has been expressed interest in learning how to play the great strategy game that is Agricola. Whether you say Agri-cola, like some weird manure-flavored sparkly beverage or all in one syllable, as I believe it is supposed to be said, we don't care here! (I myself am partial to manure-flavored beverages).

SO! We will have to decided what version of the game we play. We can play the family version of the game, which is recommended to start with, or we can jump straight into an advanced game with minor improvements and occupations. If you want to play, please post in the thread with your preferred game settings. Also, go make an account at http://www.boiteajeux.net/ and post your username there along with your /in. If there is enough interest, it could be an all beginner game with me "moderating", or basically helping out with rules/questions. Signups are now open!

I'm not 100% new, I have played once before, but if there is room I would like to play. my username is liopoil there. I'd suggest going ahead and using the minor improvements and occupations, they aren't too complicated. I used them in my first game and it worked out fine.

Alright, so now that we have everyone in, I'm thinking we should just do the family variant since shraeye expressed an interest in that. Unless liopoil is very opposed to it (or anyone else for that matter) speak up now.

Sorry shraeye, I don't know of any good instructional videos... I can look quick though

I'm unclear bout how BaJ works, but I like that the game simultaneously is an "Advanced game" and for "beginners"

I'm on vacation until tomorrow sometime, I can access the forum from my phone pretty easily but idk if the mobile interface on there is any good (plus I'm unlikely to be able to watch the video until tomorrow) so yeah, probably not gonna get much from me until tomorrow, sorry.
