Hey,
today i played a few games with some friends and we had a small problem (well, I had it).
I'll explain it with the card "Cellar".
Let's say I have 3 cards in my deck. I start my turn with playing "Cellar", discard 4 cards and want to draw 4 cards.
I would discard my 4 cards right into the discard pile, draw 3 cards, shuffle my discard pile and draw one more card.
My friends told me to discard my 4 cards on a temporary discard pile, shuffle my discard pile and draw one card from my deck. At the end of my turn i discarded all my cards in the game and the temporary discard pile in the clean-up phase on my discard pile.
They explained it with the argument that you must not shuffle your discard pile more than once in a turn because otherwise it could cause some infinite loops. I couldn't see these loops with "Cellar" but k ...
I would understant this rule with the temporary discard pile, even though it doesn't exist in my opinion, with the card "Golem". I don't place the drawn and not used cards in my discard pile until i have drawn 2 not-"Golem" Action Cards.
When I play "Golem" and all my Action-Cards are in the discard pile, I draw (I don't know if "draw" is the right word for this action because I don't get the cards on my hand) my deck but I DON'T put the cards in the discard pile (I place them on an imaginary temporary discard pile). I shuffle my discard pile and draw as long as i get two Action Cards (of course no "Golems").
I would place all cards which I didn't get on my hand at the end of the effect of "Golem" into the discard pile.
IF the rule of "only shuffle your discard pile once" is true, so do i put all the cards drawn with "Golem" into my discard pile or on a temporary discard pile? What if I draw many new cards because of the Action Cards i gained through "Golem" and my deck is too small for all the drawings. May i shuffle the cards i discarded after the effect of "Golem" ended?
Does a temporary discard pile exist at the first place?
I'm sorry for my English, I'm German.
Hopefully you understand my point ... I think I wrote this pretty confusingly.
Thanks for reading and help
