Conspirator Beats Ruins

I open FV/Silver and my opponent opened Marauder/Loan.  I was able to build a decent conspirator deck after picking up a Witch and several Bazaars.

With all of the surplus +action flying around, activating Conspirators and using your Ruins for benefit actually sounds pretty easy.

No trasher besides counterfeit ? How can you deal with it ?
Plus Spoils+Counterfeit is always good !!!

Loan is a trasher as well, and counterfiting a loan can trash three treasures in one turn.  I think that the Loan+Spoils actually hurt my opponent more than it helped.  The loan hit the spoils (instead of copper) multiple times and in the process it also discarded the marauder a time or two.

One of my favourite things to do with game reports is to look at the first four turns by both players and guess which one of them won the game.  I would guess that based on this information alone an experienced player could guess correctly >75% of the time.

This game is no exception.  You got almost the best possible start you can get when opening with a Farming Village.  I would have probably opened Courtyard/Silver on this board but getting amazing Farming Village luck is even better ;)

The thing is Marauder is slower than Witch, and Ruins offer some benefit when Curses don't. If Marauder and Witch are both on the board, you should always prioritize Witch, unless there is some real weird-edge case scenario.
