Some of the best/interesting Kingdoms you can think of!

Hey there!

Now that all the cards for Dominion are released, I was wondering if people have come across or made any Kingdoms that are particularly fun or interesting?

I've been toying with a couple, but I haven't played them yet.

Are there any that you like?

Let's see if we can make some really awesome ones!

A Fairgrounds game I've made up:

Fairgrounds
Black Market
Tournament
Tribute
Harvest
Horn Of Plenty
Golem
King's Court
Knights
Rogue
Menagerie (bane)

It takes much longer to play than normal games, and you can get extremely long turns.
It may be pretty luck dependant.

A bane card with no Young Witch in the kingdom?

There are a whole bunch of interesting sets here:
http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/Recommended_Kingdoms

All of the sets from the books plus a number of sets designed for specific tournaments by Donald himself and members of this community.

One of my favorite from my personal stash of interesting kingdoms:
Market Square
Tunnel
Philosopher's Stone
Gardens
Golem
Counting House
Contraband
Harvest
Trading Post
Fairgrounds

No colony, no shelters.

You could try to do a Golem/Counting House thing, with +buy from Contraband (or maybe MS if there's a good way to do that, but it probably kills the combo).  You could also use Golem to discard Tunnels.  There's P Stone and Gardens.  There's also MS and Gardens.  Trading Post can trigger MS, but that's probably not so easy.  Harvest can discard Tunnel, but it's not great at it.  And if you can come up with a way to combine all those different ideas, there's Fairgrounds (and Harvest).

I also have written under it in my notes to try replacing Trading Post with Mine and make it a colony game, and/or replace Contraband with Counterfeit.

My wife and I played this kingdom last night, and it was one of the more interesting/complex games we have played:

(5) Inn, Royal Seal
(4) Island, Remodel, Sea Hag
(3) Ambassador, Oasis, Watchtower
(2) Native Village, Fool's Gold

She opened Remodel/Ambassador and I opened Ambassador/Sea Hag. Interplay of cards, and the ability to stack decks when buying Inn made for some crazy turns, especially with Watchtower around. One of the more fun boards I've ever played.

We've got it reset for tonight with a couple of changes--trading out Sea Hag for Salvager and Royal Seal for Spy. Will be a radically different game; curious to see how it plays out.

Enjoy.

Peddler
Hoard, Grand Market
Counting House, Cache, Hunting Party
Ironworks, Farming Village
Ambassador
Embargo

My dad and I played two games, he went for GMs in both and I went for CH-Cache. First game he pounded me, the second I him. His ambassadors fed me copper.

I currently imagine mail-mi wearing a dark trenchcoat and a bowler hat, hunched over a bit, toothpick in his mouth, holding a gun in his pocket.  One bead of sweat trickling down his nose.

'And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise." - Moroni 7:41, the Book of Mormon

Interesting... I'd think GM-Peddler would absolutely slam a Counting House strategy here. CH can only give you one Province at a time and will be generally slow. Open Ambassador-Ironworks, Ambassador all your starting cards using Farming Villages to speed it up (and acquire a few Peddlers and Silvers in the process), slam the GMs while Ambassadoring all the Curses, then clean out all remaining green in ~2 turns (your deck should be generating ~$25/turn). Be sure to leave a few Peddlers to avoid a three-pile.

If it gives out all the Curses, this deck should win easily with just 2 Provinces, and can win with one. That gives it a TON of time to set up.

I'd be very surprised if going for Rebuild isn't the solution here... As usual, the only question is what to choose for support. :(

Haven't been to Dominion Deck in a while... looks like they don't have Guilds?  Lamesauce.
