I don't know what to say. I thought I understood base-only. I still think I played correctly. But this game was ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure that your opponent could have executed that better. With that many Throne Rooms, I'm pretty sure that Library or Smithy is a better buy over Gold early on and Woodcutter is better than Silver.
