From hero to zero

Hi all,

This must be the worst game my opponent ever had. Board contains alchemist, highway, pirate ship, ghost ship, bishop and knights and some other cards.
I try to build up a "in your ass" engine while my opponent goes for regular cards to fast province.
As soon as he hits up 3 provinces and gets an expand (to expand all his 5coin cards) I am doubting about resigning.
Until suddenly my engine starts working, I draw my whole deck every hand and my opponent gets:
- Knighted 3 times per turn
- ghostshipped.

I buy + bishop a gold every turn.

I realise I made some mistakes here and all feedback is welcome.

I was playing once and my opponent got five provinces, but then my engine kicked in with pillages.  They completely stopped him, and I managed to get three provinces and six duchies to win.

Yes.  They COMPLETELY stopped him short.  He was using golems and foragers to get money.

I'm reasonably sure that Pillage's attack is stronger than any other discard attack, and if you could do it repeatedly, probably over cursing, too (since they run out) on average...

I also set up an engine that played Pillage every turn, but it also had Rogue in it, so I kept getting it back. Pillage is a devastating attack if it can be played over and over again.

I was about to mention that with that you could play one Pillage two times one turn but realized that isn't that great...

Maybe someday I will pilot a deck to KC lots of Council rooms and then pillages and then rogues. That would be nice, though obviously a many-card-combo.

And you would need a LOT of pillages...
