Information Dump courtesy of Tables!

Quote
7 Wonders lasts three ages. In each age, players receive seven cards from a particular deck, choose one of those cards, then pass the remainder to an adjacent player, as in Fairy Tale or a Magic: the Gathering booster draft. Players reveal their cards simultaneously, paying resources if needed or collecting resources or interacting with other players in various ways. (Players have individual boards with special powers on which to organize their cards, and the boards are double-sided as in Bauza's Ghost Stories.) Each player then chooses another card from the deck they were passed, and the process repeats until players have six cards in play from that age. After three ages, the game ends.

In essence 7 Wonders is a card development game along the lines of Race for the Galaxy or Dominion. Some cards have immediate effects, while others provide bonuses or upgrades later in the game. Some cards provide discounts on future purchases. Some provide military strength to overpower your neighbors and others give nothing but victory points. Unlike Magic or Fairy Tale, however, each card is played immediately after being drafted, so you'll know which cards your neighbor is receiving and how his choices might affect what you've already built up. Cards are passed left-right-left over the three ages, so you need to keep an eye on the neighbors in both directions.

hmmm. /in. I haven't played this game in a while and when I did I wasn't very good at it at all... but hey, why not? I should be able to track things better in PBF anyway.

There is a lot you can track in PBF.  You should see the comments I made as a spectator for 7W1.  I am not going to do that again because it was ridiculous.

as a spectator? O.o

It's kind of a funny story.  I decided not to sign up because it would be too time-consuming... but then I ended up spectating and commenting on what I would have done or would do from each position.  So it was kind of like me playing a full 7-player game of 7 Wonders by myself... and of course it ended up 7 times more time consuming than it would have been if I had just joined.  Which is why I joined 7W2.

But I will simply not do that for this game.  I can ensure it by not getting access to the card lists.

If you are curious, here is the spectator thread (which is pretty much all me):

But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

Seat Order and Wonders

Qvist - Olympia
Michaeljb - Alexandria
Tables - Gizah
Ahoppy - Ephesos
Archetype - Rhodes
Liopoil - Halikarnassos
Nkirbit - Babylon

In ages I and III, we will pass up the line. In Age II, we will pass down the line. So, in Age I, Nkirbit passes to Liopoil, Liopoil passes to Archetype, and Qvist passes to Nkirbit.

This means that the player above you is on your left, while the player below you is on your right.

Each player must select side A or side B for his or her wonder. Please PM me your selection, then we will get the game started!

Could I suggest using the same direction order as previous 7 Wonders PBFs - down is right, up is left? I don't think there's good reason to choose one over the other, so sticking with what's been previously done should avoid confusion.

Yes, sorry, having a bit of internet issues.

Sending out hands shortly. Please PM me your card selection, and who you will be paying money to, if anyone.

Good luck everyone!!

Please quote this and put DONE when you have made your selection so it's easier for me to keep track of everything.

Quote this and put DONE by your name after you send your choice
