I think it will be interesting to see how this turns out compared to people's favorite promo card.

My only regret is that I have but one vote to give Black Market.

Walled village is not promoesque.

Walled Village is just a Village with a bonus. Not game changing but not great either. True it's also not interesting, especially for a promo card, but still I don't mind it. Black Market is just annoying, frustrating and luck based.

I chose BM for this reason (minus the luck). I love a BM-double-Tac, but it is just such a pain to set up the the deck. At this point, I almost exclusively play IRL, and I have yet to hear of a way to build a BM deck that isn't painfull to create and put away (and I have an inexplicable aversion to just using the randomizers).
That being said, I am sad at how frequently Governor reduces all parties to a 1-card strategy, even when it isn't dominant.

Envoy should not have existed. It synergizes with practically no other card. (Someone is probably going to prove me wrong on that statement, but oh well.)

Envoy.
My favorite is BM, it's just fun, I see nothing wrong with Stash, Walled Village is fine, and Governor is at least interesting and has choices. Envoy is just like "draw 4 cards". Not very exciting.

There are 2 ways to think about "least favorite". Is it the card I like the least or the card I dislike most?

From a competitive standpoint, I dislike Governor because it seems like just too big of a first-player advantage card. But it's a very interesting card, so I like that about it. Still it's the one I dislike the most.

Envoy I guess I like the least (despite the fact that I don't dislike it at all). It's just not that interesting. Doesn't feel like a promo.

Instead of using the official randomizers, create a randomizer deck using one of each of the regular backed cards.  You deal out 10 of them for your kingdom, then add the other 9 in from your regular storage.  If BM is in the kingdom, use your new randomizer deck.  The BM cards will not have different backs, as they would if you used the official randomizers.

Failed confused this and the other topic and voted Governor, when I meant to vote envoy on this one.

Envoy synergizes well with filtering cards like warehouse. Also, hamlet, because you have lots of cards of low quality to discard. The two actually very quickly make a good engine b/c they are so cheap and you already have +buys. Envoy is also excellent with throne room and kings court. More generally, envoy synergizes with drawing through your deck, because you eventually get all those good cards back.

I'm really surprised people hate Envoy at the rate they do. It's a perfectly fine variation on Smithy that creates interesting decisions for the opponent.

It's card draw. It doesn't have to "synergize" with anything. Smithy doesn't synergize with anything either.

Poor Walled Village.  Not too many people like it or hate it.  It's like the epitome of meh.

I think the biggest problem with Walled Village is that good players typically get nothing from the effect. They don't build a deck with vanilla villages unless they use them every turn. Therefore it's Village for $4.

I had a hard time deciding between Governor (way too powerful, dominates the board virtually every time it's available) and Black Market (probably the swingiest card in the whole game).  They're both really unfun but for different reasons; I went with BM because at least Governor's fun-destroying power is available to everyone.

Why are people complaining about Envoy?  It's fine, it's a useful but not exceptionally powerful card that's mildly interesting.  Also, Walled Village--yeah, it's lame, but it's one more village you can play with, and that's nice.  I've had plenty of games where Walled Village was the only +actions available and I was glad to have it.

Nah, good players will sometimes take advantage of Walled Village's power to get away with more terminals/fewer villages.

Um, what? How does tunnel synergize with envoy?
When you reveal 5 tunnels, they have to make you discard one, and boom, you gain a gold.
Or when you've possessed your opponent and make them play envoy, you can make them discard a tunnel, which you then make them reveal, and they would gain a gold, which you now gain.

I cannot tell you how long I spent actually trying to make something like this work last kingdom design contest...
