I've got nothing...hints might help.  But really, I'm just interested in seeing the solution.

Ok

The picture will give you a hint as to what partof the world you need to be looking in, should narrow it down to a couple of continents at least.

These first two lines will give you the specific location to start from, and it should be obvious when you find the countries being talked about. Concentrate on these first. ALL the words are important to the solution. if you can brute force the area
Find the river where two countries almost form a line
Dance your way to the end

Once you have the River, and have followed the instructions you can confirm it with these two lines which should give you a placename, which should enable you to zoom in further
When there, lend a hand to a small childrens bear
who is all confused due to missing his hot beverage

So, you can do a bit of brute force on a couple of bits, countries, dances, childrens bears with the aid of wikipedia

Also, for lend a hand, you need another word for hand to stick to the children's bear...whether it is eddy or not I am not sure.

For the record, I did it just with the river, going to the end and then scanning for airports. I have no idea what the second part of the clue is about.

And for those who still want to work on this, Davio was in the right track in reply 8. He wasn't right, but he had the right idea. Although that bit's not truly neccesary anyway. Working out the river is the key.

Where two countries almost form a line to me seems like two countries which almost border each other, but not quite.

Its tough, but please refrain.

There is enough there for people to get it now I think.

Give it a few more days of trying and if people still want I can give another hint.

Thought didn't pan out.  Still stuck contemplating the myriad borders+rivers combos that exist in the world.

Just a thought, but it might be in Peru. If the children's bear refers to Paddington. That was just my first thought about children's bears and locations.

Paddington bear?  But he's more concerned about marmalade than tea.

EDIT: Just noticed Jorbles above me.

its not paddington.

Right sort of lines, but you need to factor something else in.

Although You really want to do the first two lines first...

Here's some help in the form of a partial list of rivers that form borders based on a quick google search and a whirl around google maps. This list is probably not complete:

Quote
China, Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam (border the Mekong)

Quote
In South America:
Rio Uruguay: Argentina and Uruguay.
Courantyne-Koetari River: Guyana-Suriname.
Marouini-Lawa-Litani River: Suriname-French Guiana.

Rio Parana: part of the border between Argentina and Paraguay.
Rio Paraguay: part of the border between Paraguay and Brazil.
Rio Mamore: part of the border between Bolivia and Brazil.
Rio Putumayo: part of the border between Colombia and Ecuador.
Rio Napo: a very small part of the border between Ecuador and Peru.
Rio Orinoco: part of the Colombia-Venezuela border.
Rio Takutu: part of the Guyana-Brazil border.

In Europe the Danube borders several countries.

In Africa the Congo, and its tributary the Ubangi form partial borders with a few different countries.

(The ones in quotes I just copy-pastaed from other people's research.)

There's a lot of rivers listed there but... One of them is right!

Now you've just got to work out which one and why.

It might be Danube (it covers complete Romania - Bulgaria border*) because it says "dance", and The Blue Danube is a very famous waltz?
