Lobby is aweful

I have no idea why they did it the way they did.

Why is there a reason for me to see all games being played? Just so I can join to spectate, theoretically? It is just cluttering and annoying, and it makes it hard to distinguish open games. And you cannot really even spectate right now. And if you did, you should have an option (default: on) to hide them. Or something.

Why the need to divide people into rooms? Even more importantly, why are people playing games counted towards the maximum of 50 people in a room? It makes finding a game such a hard task to do: You need to go from room to room to find an open game. Especially one where people have more than just a base and also want to play with new players that don't have high ratings and also a two player game.
Yes, I could host, but I don't cards cept the base and some few others. Yes, I could buy, but I don't want at least not at this point.

I would imagine the splitting into rooms is for load balancing?

That, or they wanted a way to keep the mods and the rockers apart

Yeah, it's frustrating right now. I haven't purchased the cards either yet and the last two games (with just base cards) my opponent quit as soon as I bought the first province. Hopefully that changes...

And it took A WHILE to find a game.

I've never seen anyone quit after the first province, so maybe you just got unlucky.

Yep, this is a very common complaint.  It's something a lot of us hope they're working on and we know they've gathered feedback on it.

I believe that historically, the lobby system was their quick-fix for load balancing after it turned out their servers couldn't handle it. They've said that in the works is a complete redesign of the lobby system, so that's probably why they haven't put out "quick fixes" for it. Hopefully whatever they do will have support for automatch, friend/foe lists, etc.
