Favorite Pixar Movies?

I am a huge fan of Pixar, so this is a tough choice for me. Probably my favorite would be either Toy Story 3 or Up, but there are so, so many good ones.

Not Pixar! Though it does have a really similar style.

I voted for Up, but it's effectively tied with Toy Story 3. Both movies make me sob uncontrollably, like I'm some f*ing baby.

I didn't care for Up or Toy Story 3 actually... >.>

However, I absolutely love Ratatouille.

Up at the beginning, Toy Story 3 at the end....

Incredibles, for the sheer amount of laughter brought on when the fast boy realizes all that he can do on the island.

Also, the costume lady.

I re-watched it 2 days ago! Maybe their most underrated movie, for whatever reason it doesn't seem to get as much praise as a bunch of their others.

However, I absolutely love Ratatouille.

Monsters Inc. and The Incredibles were also quite good - and Toy Story was wonderful as well. Brave was quite solid too.

I mean, there's little that they've done that I DISLIKE... So really can't go wrong with any of the choices. Bugs Life was one of the few I didn't like.

(Toy Story 3 and Up, I should clarify aren't bad in my book... But just not as good as some of their others. They fallintothe same category as Cars 2 or TS 2 do for me).

The Incredibles is one of my favorite movies, full stop.  I'm just happy no one has picked Cars 2 or a Bugs Life.  They say there are no wrong answers when it comes to taste, but clearly those answers are objectively wrong.

Ratatouille, far and away.  Toy Story trilogy is next, with Monsters, Inc. being the sleeper hit with me.

Ha, I'm with you! I like A Bug's Life but it's my least favorite of the ones I've seen. I actually haven't seen Cars 2 yet (it's the only one, ok I guess I can't call myself a true Pixar fan) but it got so many disappointing reviews and I struggle with lowering my expectations for a Pixar film. I do want to see it sometime but there's no way I'll like it as much as the others. I could see someone picking Bug's Life though!

Whoa.  Whoaaaaaa.  I did not realize that. o.O

My favourite is Up, followed closely by The Incredibles and Wall-E.  They are all pretty great though.

I wasn't super taken with the Toy Story trilogy... maybe I was too young when I watched the first one.  I should check it out again; I don't really remember it.

I picked Wall-E, which is the only reason Up and Toy Story 3 got nominated for Best Picture anyway.  Wall-E is beautiful.

Runners up would be The Incredibles and Ratatouille.

Heh.  I dunno - there's a real cluster of quality at the top, and there's probably 6-7 movies that I could see as being the best (Up, TS3, Wall-E, Ratatouille).  And really, even the bad stuff is better than nearly every other animated movie and most non-animated movies.

Wall-E is beautiful.

I was blown away by how much they communicated using no words in the first half. Beautiful is right. I need to watch WALL-E again.

The real power of the TS trilogy for me was watching them as a parent.  If you have a daughter, and don't tear up during the "when somebody loved me" song, you are a heartless, terrible person.

I watched Toy Story 3 for the first time in theaters, with my mom, a couple months before leaving for college. You could say it has some sentimental value for me.

My favorite movie is Incredibles because it has an unpopular theme, pushing against America's cultural movement towards telling everyone they're special and equal when they aren't.

Wall-E is beautiful.

I was blown away by how much they communicated using no words in the first half. Beautiful is right. I need to watch WALL-E again.

More than any other film Pixar has done (outside their shorts), Wall-E was a true powerhouse in demonstrating their ability to tell a story. It was absolutely captivating.

It's one of the things for me that takes away from films like UP, The Incredibles or even Brave. All good enough movies, but Pixar stole my heart in their ability to tell stories using characters that, well, aren't human. And through these Toys, or Bugs, or Robots, or Cars... I still find myself drawn in and relating to the stories at an emotional level - A connection that often defies my natural instinct.

I don't find myself... As surprised, by Pixar's "Human" driven stories, and it leaves me wanting just a little bit more.

Wall-E is fine. It's not even close to as good as TS3 or Up, though.
