While Bale is pretty important, I don't think they "revolve" around him -- there's many times that he takes shots far away from the box in good attacking positions that could lead to goals for other players if the build-up were to develop more.
I think part of the reason he's been doing so well, too, is because Adebayor's been playing lately. His finishing hasn't been great this year (ok, it's been terrible), but he's superb at creating pockets of spaces for other and dragging the defenders with him to make room for Lennon but especially Bale to run in. Without his movement, Bale + Lennon wouldn't have been able to make their runs vs. Arsenal, while Defoe would have probably try to get himself into a position to receive a pass and not make the room for others. He also doesn't take quite so many shots, so there's a lot left to take for Bale, and he's been superb from distance and making shots very few other players in the world would make.
That said, though, I'm glad we have him, and we've definitely won some games because of him.
