jonts26 wins by a nose-hair.  Both jonts and Beyond Awesome voted for their own sets -- not that there's anything wrong with that, just pointing out that that wasn't the difference.  [By way of disclosure, I voted for jonts, and rrenaud voted for Beyond Awesome.]

Congrats!  Main page writeup

Congrats to jonts!

Surprised that only 66 people voted though, with the number of people active daily on this forum.

Congrats jonts26, that's a deserving winner for all the efforts he did in co-organizing this tournament. (although I voted for Beyond Awesome)

Congrats jonts26!

Edit: lol. I just checked the votes. Wow! Just one away. I think that is fitting though. It reminds me of those games where you always win or lose by exactly one point. I guess you held onto that extra estate jonts. Well done with the KCD.

Well your kingdom was quite good as well. It was indeed close.

And just to let everyone know, I will be getting myself some hinterlands. It's one of the few sets I don't own and it is the most represented set in my submission, so it's fitting.

Yeah, we should get a membergroup or something. Nothing like some casual elitism.

Congrats jonts. For the record, I did vote for you after deciding, no, I'm gonna cast a legit vote instead of a vote for what was (essentially) a vote for the randomiser pile.

...spin-offs are still better for all of the previously cited reasons.
But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.
