Topic: Ambassador + Council Room too slow against Philosopher's Stone? (Read 1026 times)

I thought the Ambassador would thin my deck, and the Council Room would allow me to draw money. But the Ambassador seemed really slow on this board, and my opponent just grabbed a bunch of Philosopher's Stones and went to town. What should I have done instead?

What are you thinning your deck for? There is no engine in sight, and his phil stone just loves all the copper you are giving him.

Herbalist-philosopher's stone is good, and would probably be the best strategy on the board even if your opponent wasn't going for ambassador.

The cards you were giving him only helped him. Also, your deck would choke on green really fast.
