Scrying Pool

How do you play Scrying Pool setups? I see a couple of priorities when constructing a SP deck:

1) Buying SP, to a) be able to draw your deck and b) cycle your deck. By the end of the game, you want enough SP to be fairly likely to have one in your starting hand (after adjusting for cantrips and other drawing power.

2) Buying Village-type cards to be able to play all the terminal actions you draw.

3) Buying actions, especially money-producing actions, to increase your buying power as well as the strength of your SP draws.

4) Trashing non-action cards to increase the SP's drawing power.

How do you prioritize these goals?

1 potion & ideally a +buy card early, to buy SP whenever you can.
trash cards (slowly is ok)
get #villages = #terminals - 1.

get a 2nd potion after a few turns

pick up cantrips & terminal actions whenever you can't do the above.

draw your deck. yay!

If Secret Chamber happens to be in the mix, buy a couple of those too, pick up everything and discard them. It's a killer.

With more than one Pool and Chamber, you can discard all your extra actions to SC, draw them again with a single Pool, and repeat.  You need +1 action and +1 buy to make this worthwhile, but it happens.
