Played an IRL game this weekend with Bishop and Masquerade. It was late, so that's my excuse, but I saw Bishop and another trasher on board and thought I'd give it a shot.
I built the Golden Deck quickly and beautifully, and by the time I got it set up, I realized that people would be playing Masquerades like every turn. I got slaughtered.
I thought that the best idea when I was getting Masqueraded would be to pass over my Province, which turns out to be a terrible plan. I should just pass a Silver, then Bishop-trash whatever I get and buy another Silver that turn. The one-turn tempo loss is better than... well... the same tempo loss plus giving my opponent a Province.
It was a 3-player game, so the person sitting to my left won. Ironic that he was trying to build a Golden Deck as well, but didn't do it as fast as me, and hit the brakes as soon as he got passed his first Province...
Wow, I'm so good at this game.
