Self-gaining Silver solution.

(Try saying that 5 times fast)

<CardName>
Action: $4
+$2
Choose one:
+1 Action, OR
Gain a <Cardname>

(There are 20 of these in the supply)

Would this card work as a self-gaining card? Is it too strong, weak?

Were we really clamoring for an action that is a better Silver? I don't think this one seems worth taking up 2 cards worth of space. It seems fair enough.

It's strictly better than Silver at $4, which is a big no-no. Make it a $5, and it could be interesting.

...spin-offs are still better for all of the previously cited reasons.
But not strictly better, because the spinoff can have a different cost than the expansion.

Silver can't be drawn dead, though.

Okay, it's strictly better than silver when you have no drawing actions, which is common enough. Honestly, I think this looks alright at $5, it compares favorably with Explorer.

At $5, what if the gained "this card" go to the bottom of the deck? That would be a newish mechanic and I think the balance works well.
