A different golden deck

As many of you know, a hand of Copper-Silver-Gold-Platinum-Horn of Plenty (with Mandarin on the board) will be guaranteed to reappear for enough turns to empty the Colony pile.  But... how quickly can it be done?

The challenge is to set up this trick ASAP, and then use it 8 times to run out the Colony pile.  Fewest turns wins.

Restraints:  Only cards from Base, Prosperity, Cornucopia, and Hinterlands may be in the kingdom.

Good luck!

Anyone?  So far only 1 entry in.  It's a good one, but I think it can be beat!

Is it possible to quit a solitaire game on iso before it is finished?

Is it possible to force a 5/2 opening in such a game?

I have some idea but it requires 5-2 start to work and I don't want to take time playing through games where I don't get it, and the exit button I have in multiplayer is gone in solitaire.

To quit, before you play any actions, hit end turn once. Then a red resign button pops up. There is no way to force a 5/2. You've got a 1 in 6 chance. Good luck.

Thanks. Of course it took me something like 10 tries to finally get the 5/2. On the other hand the game went very lucky afterwards and I'm happy with my result after the first try.

@gman314: I haven't seen this topic first time around.

Any news on results of this announced? I'm interested if somebody found a better idea than mine.

The other option to reroll for a 5/2 is just to end your turn without buying anything until you get a 5 or a 2.

Sure, here are the results.  In third place, we havejupiter, who managed to do it in 19 turns, which is as fast as I managed to do it in my attempts.

In second place, we have gman13 who squeaked it out one turn faster, managing 18 turns.

And... we have a tie for the victory!  Both jonts26 and hsiale managed to do it in a miniscule 16 turns total.  Amazing!

Great job!

I like how I went with a complicated engine, and hsiale just bought 2 actions other than mandarin.
