Played a Mint without revealing a Treasure, just to activate my Conspirator.

And today, played a Mint without revealing a Treasure, just so I could top-deck it with Scheme and try and line it up with a Platinum next turn.

Just bought out the curses when I was way ahead just for the CR achievement.

University with Watchtower in hand to gain-and-trash Rats... turns University into a vanilla Village that cost a potion to get. Did this one tonight, then realized how pointless it was.

Not pointless if you draw a festival

Why don't you use watchtower to trash the rats gained from playing rats? Keep university to lower the amount of cards in your hand, throw festival in there and watchtower your way to victory

Last time I went for it, it was a 5p game with about 2 provinces remaining. I couldn't draw my deck and had to settle for duchies, but somehow I still won! It helped that no one could buy the last province for 2 more times around ;)

Just noticed the Golem + Tactician "combo". Even throwing KC in to help, it took a while to actually get it to work even in a solo game, so I can't imagine there are many kingdoms where its a worthwhile strategy (maybe in a game with Festival + KC + Golem + Tactician + Colonies it could work but it still would probably be too slow).

Regardless, its still one of the cooler combos in the game if you can actually get it to work.

Golem + Tactician is usually a nombo because if you Golem into a Tactician in the middle of your turn, you kind of waste your turn.

I really cannot imagine any kingdom where the actual double Tactician combo would be the superior strategy.

What if you hit the Library first?

Fortunately, you can choose which card to play first. That's an excellent example where the order can matter...

I think my favorite part is that he King's Courts 9 Bridges and then doesn't end the game, because that's not the point.

I've just played an interesting game against the Goko bots where I embargoed the colonies just so I would get gains curses that could be salvaged next turn for extra buys. You need to do these sorts of things when you can play king's court on pirate ships for 22 tokens each. Final decks:

DG : 5 Laboratory, 4 King's Court, 3 Pirate Ship, 1 Tactician, 1 Salvager, 1 Graverobber, 11 Colony, 3 Province, 7 Curse
Lord Bottington: 1 Copper, 3 Estate, 2 Province, 1 Colony
Banker Bot : 1 Copper, 3 Estate, 2 Province

Not as bad as Ambassadoring curses. You never* have to play the Rats, and if there's any other trashing you can benefit from the +card.

*absent Throne Room or Golem

He's probably playing against AI on Goko, who will play the Rats anyways.
