Run out the potions!

This challenge is inspired directly by this thread http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=5364.0 except that I want to see it done.

So, the challenge is as follows. In a solo game, with a kingdom of your choice (must include at least one Alchemy card) end the game in as few turns as possible on Provinces with the Potion pile run out as well.

Ranking determined by number of turns taken with score as tiebreaker.

PM game logs to me by Thursday (the15th) at midnight (EST).

Even though I suck at them, I've always found solo challenges more interesting than puzzles. Then, I had an idea for a challenge and decided to post it!

Just to get things started, I will present my extremely low-balled, poorly-played game:
http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201211/13/game-20121113-201704-d2c8a099.html

28 turns, using Forge, Trader, Scrying Pool, University, Upgrade, Herbalist and Menagerie. The odds that *anyone* can beat that are extremely high, so go for it! If I manage to beat the score myself, I'll PM it but probably post the number of turns here, just to keep track.

13 turns, is it cheating if I didn't buy a Potion until the last turn, and never bought a card with a potion cost?

In continuing with this spirit, here's 11 turns.  Yes, it's against the spirit of the challenge and doing it this way can be done in 9 turns anyway...

So, here are the results:

In third place, we have the only one submitted by PM. Theory did it in 14 turns with a nice KC mega-turn engine with Talisman to get all the potions.

In second place, Powerman did his own KC engine in 11 turns, again not buying any potions until the end and also using Talisman.

In first place, Jimmmmm also did a KC mega-turn on turn 10 with Bridge to get all the buys he needed.

Would anyone have interest in more solo challenges? If so, what would you be looking for in one?

Solo challenge proposal: Empty the Black Market deck as fast as possible.

This could be fun although you can get pretty lucky or unlucky with the contents of the Black Market deck.
Then again you can start over as often as you want.

Solo challenges can be fun.
But I think you need to define or restrict the kingdom.
Otherwise they mostly come down to a KC bridge mega turn + shuffle luck.

Not my proposal!

It comes down to: How am I going to play BM 30 times AND buy something almost every time?  ;D

Well, if we continue doing solo challenges, you have 3 gman points. Powerman gets 2 and Theory gets 1.

I think I'll start two more challenges soon. One will be open kingdom and the other will be restricted. We'll see how that goes.

Very very nice, it's almost poetic. :)
