http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201211/06/game-20121106-143347-471f2fce.html

Board: Ambassador, Baron, Border Village, Caravan, Crossroads, Great Hall, Laboratory, Library, Salvager, and Tactician

Big idea: This deck uses 2 Barons to provide enough virtual money to buy a province and crossroads to provide an extra action and enough card draw to bring all the pieces together. I opened 5/2, so it was a no-brainer to go Tactician/Crossroads, but Baron/Crossroads or even Baron/Great Hall (!) look good too.  Obviously you can shrug off any estates from ambassador.  Interestingly enough, this deck actually gets more reliable as you green.  Since you only have 5 actions to play with (2 from tac, 3 from crossroads), you can play crossroads exactly twice if you want to buy a province and play your tac.  The more green cards you have, the better you draw. On my fizzle turns, I bought Great Hall, which I felt weird doing, but it can act as a lab or a double lab depending on when you draw it. A cheap village would have been a godsend here.

You posting those here every couple of months is probably fair. Giving me a rematch one of these days would also be fair! :)

We should host that skype/googletalk mafia game so you'd get to hear mine. (It isn't neat though.)

Only virtual money is Pawn and Chancellor, but I still play double Tactician, and I get a triple Province turn near the end. :)

double tactician decks (especially ill-advised ones) are probably my favorite dominion games to play.

That's a nice way of saying that I have a horrible pronunciation, thanks. ;)

And Eevee, I propose a game when I see you online. I promise. But the wiki prevented me the last days from actually playing. So, let's see when this happens.

But I hear Robz yells the loudest in RL games, doesn't that mean he auto-wins?

I suck at accents.  Can't place them.

...German?

Edit: in #14, you could have given more Potions instead of TRs, no?  And if you hadn't played Tac at the end, you could have gotten another Duchy. ;)  That was a nice engine.

I've done something similar, with 2x Tunnel, 2x Salvager, Village, and an indeterminate number of Warehouses. Not quite as elegant, but it worked.

German, right.
I saw that too, that Potions instead of TRs would have been better, but it didn't matter anymore that much, so I wasn't paying that much attention.
And in the last turn I'm not always trying to maximize the score. I knew I could do that, but meh...

I haven't got the link (the isotropic links never seem to work properly for me anyway), but if I hadn't been reading about these things here I may not have spotted the double-Tac deck in the game I played today - Baron and Treasury for extra $, as well as a Haggler my opponent Masq'ed to me, Masq for some light trashing, Warehouse for cycling, and Mining Village to help me play a few extra terminals. I think I managed to play Tac in all but one turn once the engine got started, and bought a Province plus another engine piece in most of those turns. Possibly my favourite part of the game, though, was when we'd split the Treasuries evenly, I'd top-decked all of mine, letting my opponent grab one with a Masq, only for me to take it back in exactly the same way a few turns later.

This is a pretty straightforward double Tactician board.  Its lacking in plus buy, but Princess was able to help with that once i got going on the prizes.

Apprentice, Caravan, Colony, Conspirator, Counting House, Envoy, Platinum, Royal Seal, Smithy, Tactician, Tournament, and Venture

Double Tactician is becoming one of my favorite engine. Here's another one.  I think Scrying Pool would be better with any extra buy on the board, but Tact is the only +buy.  I think single Workshop was pretty important to speed the building up.  Also Steward was really good here for the trashing, and for the money.  With the double Tact setup and all those Fishing Villages, I pretty much had unlimited actions.

Bazaar, Fishing Village, Native Village, Potion, Scrying Pool, Silk Road, Steward, Tactician, Warehouse, Wishing Well, and Workshop

Double tactician with money from Oasis/Mandarin.  Salvager helped get it off the ground and a single Stables gave it a bit of draw for consistancy.

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201212/05/game-20121205-085900-a4f9be7e.html

This is not cute so much as painful, but it features me and tlloyd both trying different double-tac decks that work out to be slow and ineffective. Board is:

Baron, Border Village, Fortune Teller, Herbalist, King's Court, Quarry, Salvager, Tactician, Talisman, and Tunnel

My target deck is KC/Salvager/3x Tunnel/3x Gold/2xTac. Each turn I want to salvage 3 golds, buy 2 provinces, and discard 3 tunnels. This chokes a bit, but I hope to add an extra KC and some BVs for enough draw to power through.

It appears that tlloyd wants to use lots of KCs, lots of BVs, and barons/fortune tellers as a source of virtual +$.

Neither of our decks comes together very quickly. I end up hitting once, getting a small lead, and then salvaging a bunch of provinces to pile out while I'm ahead.

EDIT: I think my deck plan is a lot more effective with Bishop rather than Salvager. KC/Bishop trashing 3 golds is +12 VPs per turn from a golden deck of 2xTac/KC/Bishop/3xTunnel/3xGold.

I could have bought two Colonies on that last turn, but, you know, why not just end it :)

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201212/23/game-20121223-061545-739284c0.html

Board:
- important cards: Tactician, Black Market, Crossroads, Warehouse, Moneylender
- less important or unbought: Pawn, Duke, Talisman, Herbalist, Nomad Camp

Black Market findings:
- me: Mining Village, Tunnel (both helped)
- opponent: King's Court (!!!), Masquerade (not played even once), Laboratory, Market, Stables

I got 2/5 and opened Crossroads/Tactician, he started with Moneylender/Black Market. Next two turns I got Moneylender and Black Market as well, he went for Crossroads and Laboratory from BM. Then I went straight for double Tactician deck, using BM most of the time only to play cash in action phase, while he was way slower with this, buying second Tactician very late. Turn 10 I played BM/Tactician and next 6 turns I had 10 cards starting hand, buying a Province each of them, usually with some extra engine piece to keep me going while greening.
