How could I have won this?

My opponent just seemed to get better draws than me.  We had similar strategies, except I bought an Embassy early while he bought a Rabble.  But I kept getting stuck at 4 while he got to 5.  What should I have done differently?

Bought rabble instead.  Embassy is boss, but you also gave him the extra coin that let him roll.

Also, sometimes you just lose.

You started with fishing village/moneylender/silver. You should either buy the silver before the fishing village or in this case stick to fishing villages. You could also have tried a rabble instead of your first gold or found a time to buy a moat.
