I think Fancy Hat needs to have a mat, just so you can say Fancy Hat Mat. Ideally, you should be able to put a Rats on your Fancy Hat Mat.

I started by trying to make something where copies of cards on the mat gave $1 when played (because they're now wearing a Fancy Hat they're worth more), but couldn't think of a good way to keep track of that when FH isn't in play. So somehow it morphed into this.

My idea:

Fancy Hat

Choose an Action card you have in play.  Play it again.



This makes it a delayed Throne Room of sorts, which can, in some cases, be better.

Here's a version of the card that gives your deck a fancy hat, by deciding what cards go on top of it:

Action - $4
Gain a card from the supply costing 3 or less and set it aside.
Set a card from your hand aside. You may set aside the top card of your discard pile.
Put the three set aside cards on top of your deck in any order.

I Fancy Hat a Fancy Hat.  It reminds me of Procession, but from the Supply.

Wearing a Fancy Hat makes people think you've got money to burn.  It's terminal Gold if you buy one thing, or terminal Silver if you use the spare buy.  Of course, it also synergizes well with some TfB.

I play Fancy Hat on my Fancy Hat in play, using it to re-play the Fancy Hat I just played, and vice-versa

I really don't see it getting better than this. I encourage attempts, but I doubt the end results.
