Ugly ugly game, with one of the most ridiculous final turns ever

I manage to win with some of the luckiest draws i've ever seen, but I have no real clear strategy. Fortunately, my opponent fails to execute and claim a lead.

I am guessing his strategy was a good one, especially with me overbuying hamlets. I start taking off with a big money strat (my fourth this game), when I pull 2 hamlets, a king's court, a mine and a curse. My hamlet pulls up a king's court, I KC KC, pull up my black market council room with a play left of my king's court. I didn't realize I'd be able to finish the game, so instead of going for a third triple jester, i improve my gold a bit. I had also neglected to discard some cards to the hamlets for more buy so.

Any strategies you would have played?

Welcome to the forum! I'm wondering if you should have always preferred Jester over Merchant Ship, or if not what the ideal ratio is.
