Best Kingdom Art

Hello all,

We all know Dominion cards contain some of the best art of any other card game, but in this thread I would like to know some of the cards with the community's favorite art. Please share your favorites and why you like that art so much (ie. nice colors, fine detail, etc.). Have fun discussing!

Young Witch.  It's just so painterly.

My current top 10 :

1 (and by far) : Ill-Gotten gains !! I love the bird, the yellow-orange color...
2 : Jester
3 : Inn
4 : Farmland
5 : Lighthouse
6 : Outpost
7 : Altar
8 : Young witch
9 : Mystic
10 : Sea hag

Honorable mention : Harem (not so ugly !)

Hinterland is really the most beautiful set IMO : IGG, Inn, Farmland above mentionned but I like also the artwork of Oracle, Highway, trader and embassy. And the cornucopia cover is very graceful.

Of cards not yet named -- I like SR, Harvest, Expand.  Probably others that I'm forgetting...

I love lots of things about Dominion, but in general the art is not one of them.
I like Thief.

But man most of the art leaves me wanting something better.  Do you really like Dominion art more than MtG art?

Please refrain from using pops as a verb, it messes with my head when I skim a post before reading it fully.  Especially right after mine.

Synonyms are: appears, materializes, presents itself.
Should you need to describe the destruction of a balloon, consider "bursts".

Thank you for your cooperation..

Yeah, and people shouldn't say "were" so I don't get confused.  Or "great", either.

By the way, it's WerO.  With an O.  It doesn't even look like an E.

Me too!!!!

I always imagine that the Forge girl was an Arya Stark type who learned swordsmanship from her smithy father. But one day, he was struck down by a crooked knight. Now she is patiently reforging her father's sword, in preparation for the day where she will eventually avenge him. The art perfectly captures her purposeful loneliness, and her dedication to the smith's craft.

Looks like Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games to me...

And if you could all stop using the word Forge, that would be great. Feel free to say create, or make, like in the sentence "Make is a decent 7 card but it's often too late in the game to use effectively by the time you get it"

Stop writing your name all over the place and discuss the art of Dominion. BTW, the new Potion is pretty nice to look at lekkit.

I'm surprised so many people love the artxork in Dark Ages

Yes, there beautiful cards : Altar, counterfeit, bandit camp, rats, feodum, procession, market square, mystic, death cart and the ruins (but not ruined village), but not as beautiful as the landscapes in Hinterlands, Cornucopia and Seaside.

And there are some terribly ugly cards : Hermit, madman, squire, shelters, Marauder, Hunting grounds, almost all the knights, Beggar, Urchin, Rogue...

Just my opinion of course !  ;D

I'm so used to playing on the internet in text mode that when I actually see some images I go "huh, so that's what it looks like".

And another thing: Ruined Village uses the art from Walled Village. If any of the Villages would be able to defend itself, one would think it would be Walled Village! I mean, Fortress isn't called ... Village so it doesn't count.

Then again, it may be a message: Not even Walled Village is same from the looters, run, run!
They shamelessly plundered the Grand Market as well! I guess it's useless to plunder a single Peddler.

I am surprised no one voted for base.  I almost picked it myself. Spy is one of my favorite cards as far as art goes, and Thief, Throne Room, Council Room, Remodel, Lab, and Adventurer are all pretty cool.  I guess it's just that it has a lot of dumb looking cards too.
