procession, officially breaking dominion IRL?

I haven't got to play DA IRL, but from a few discussions on the forum:

Procession can play cards twice then trash them from play. So how do we keep track of the +coin/action/buy from those trashed cards? The situation is worsened when that trashed card can be brought back immediately (and played again. Say Fortress) I would imagine it to be a real mess say if I played a Procession on a Festival or something.

Previously similar things only happen with mining village and manderin as far as I can recall. And there the situation is quite isolated. Procession makes it that you have to memorize potentially every kind of card bonuses.

We "tap" the processioned card as a visual reminder that it's supposed to be in the trash, then physically move it to the trash at end of turn. This doesn't work on fortress, but it's pretty good.

Trade route tokens and embargo tokens are $ and actions, respectively.

Remember?  I mean, unless you're doing an insane engine using fifty cards, you're going to have that much trouble remembering what your Processioned.  The bigger issue is remembering what you made Band of Misfits do.

If you Procession a Fortress, just forget it, you have as many actions as you want.

I'm not looking forward to playing that combo with Diadem and actually having to keep track.

I've never used dice to track actions, coins or buys, but I could imagine myself doing so with DA.

I mean, I can track a Mining Village, but DA confuses the hell out of me.

We usually just have someone who's not the currently playing player keep track of how many actions are left (either by saying it out loud or holding up fingers). Helps a lot.

We were playing with a couple of newer players (who were thus quite slow), and it was an issue keeping track until we decided to use a die for coins, and this solved most of our problems. Actions were just said out loud as cards were played, and having a persistent reminder of the coins made turns much cleaner. The +Buy was never an issue with those games.

Why not put the procession on top of the trashed card, so you know it has been played twice. Then, any cards under the procession get trashed.

The way I handle Procession will be the same way I currently handle Mining Village: just turn the trashed card sideways and physically place it in the trash after the turn is over. Processioned Fortresses will be harder, but that's more a Fortress problem than a Procession problem. (See: Salvager + Fortress.)

Band of Misfits will also give some trouble, but probably not much more than any other card that offers choices.
