A lesson in watching your piles.

I've been on the receiving end of this (or something similar) plenty of times, so it was very satisfying winning a game unexpectedly on piles.

Check out the final turn's action and buys to secure the out-of-blue-and-totally-unexpected win.

Often this game just frustrates me, but "fun" moments like this one are well worth it!

Any general comments on play-style or tips are always appreciated as well!

Why the three copper buys at the end?

Ends the turn quicker if you have +Buy left over. Or too lazy to click end turn button. Or both.

Yeah, it's fast, and I've always done it as sort of a victory moment for myself.

Hopefully people don't consider this kind of thing rude...

But no reason other than that you can.

Why did you buy the Loan?  In general, those Coppers are pretty good in a Sea Hag slog.

I don't think it's rude, I was just curious.  It looked like you didn't realize the game was ending and loading up on coppers to increase your purchasing power, which wasn't consistent with the original description of the game.  I haven't seen anyone do that other than in a Goons game.

It's probably also that I've been playing a lot of the official Dominion game lately, and extra buys in that make me cringe due to the slow animation.

In a Goons game it only helps towards the very end imo unless you have a MASSIVE trash/draw deck and/or watchtower in hand.

You're probably right. If I recall, I did the oh-so-typical thing that I do: See a card's first letter and buy it....I'm pretty sure in this game I thought it was a Lookout. I know, dumb.

Either way, I probably lean toward cleaning my hand too much, even when not cleaning might have some advantages.

I do hate those Sea Hags, though.

And I'd agree with ^_^etc...big copper buys too early with Goons can be a bit of a trap.
