Always be wary of 3-pile o.O that's my favorite way to win tbh. 3-piling is more fun than province and makes noobs think twice about many mentality's of "oh it is just a rush to provinces, this game is boring" thus making them possibly stay longer.

Here's a game of mine that would fit the premise of a "sad Garden's loss" as well.

Being ONE card short of victory in a Gardens-or-nothing strategy is pretty depressing. I'm not even gonna review the game in depth, 'cause I'd bet there's an extra buy or two in there that coulda been that winning copper.

Turns 15 and 17. ;)

Quote
   — Kahlebb's turn 15 —
   Kahlebb plays a Festival.
   ... getting +2 actions, +1 buy, and +$2.
   Kahlebb plays a Remodel.
   ... trashing a Talisman.
   ... gaining a Gardens.
   Kahlebb plays 2 Coppers.
   Kahlebb buys a Gardens.

   — Kahlebb's turn 17 —
   Kahlebb plays a Festival.
   ... getting +2 actions, +1 buy, and +$2.
   Kahlebb plays a Remodel.
   ... trashing a Copper.
   ... gaining an Estate.
   Kahlebb plays 2 Coppers.
   Kahlebb buys a Gardens.
   (Kahlebb reshuffles.)

See? Told ya.

Someday I'll learn to not fail.

At least now I know it's my fault for losing. That's better than just luck/chance/fate...'cause it's fixable.
