Dear opponent:

I'm sorry that you're a bad player and I crushed you,

Let me tell everyone about it.

Wasn't exactly crushing, but proud of this one considering how it began.

I've opened 5/2 with Doctor twice in my life and lost both games. This does not include an IRL tournament game where you're allowed to stack your deck and I chose to do this. I got 2nd out of 3 players in that game (and I still blame Robz -- he ended the game in last place :P )

I'm not THAT sorry, as my opponent played quite poorly.  But still, wow.

While I do agree that he did not play optimally, his first two potion hands were 2P. He already lost that game at that point regardless of what he did. Pretty much any Dominion player, regardless of how good they were would have lost that game hitting 2P like that.

I'm really sorry, I just had to do it.

99% of the opponents this new client matches me with are so bad at I just don't have the words for it, and then this guy opened mint/- on a board without any cards costing less then $4.
So I really just had to do it and princed away all the prizes. Unfortunately that gold flood junks up your deck quite a bit on a board without villages so I had to compensate with some princed Adventurers.

Stef is getting such bad opponents he is just playing solitaire instead of fighting.

His brain is gonna atrophy and we will lose a Dominion genius due to this software :((((((

Time for Project: Challenge Stef. We can't tell whether he's online or not (thanks, Making Fun!), but we'll set up a rotation to challenge him once an hour so that he gets a few (reasonably) competitive games. I'll take the Swindler games at 4 am Stef's time.

Dear opponent, I'm deeply sorry for opening Silver/Warehouse against your Herbalist/Mountebank and inspiring in you this wild frenzy to win the Warehouse split at all cost.

Dear opponent to the left of me in a 3-player IRL game,
I'm sorry I deliberately gave our mutual opponent good draws with his Advisors just to ensure that he got his share of the Provinces away from you so my alt-VP strategy could beat you.  It may have been good tactics, but I don't blame you for being annoyed by it.

And yes, I've already apologized to her in person; she still doesn't want to play with Advisor anymore (she already didn't like it much).  The upshot is I didn't even need to do this because I wound up getting enough points that I could have beaten her even if she'd gotten a couple more Provinces.

For some reason I can't find the URL of the prettified log on the page, sorry.

Basically a KC/Wharf thing allows me to play my whole deck, buying 2 Tunnels, 1 Duchy, and 5 Estates while gaining 24 Gold thanks to 3x Hoard.  Then the following turn with all the +Cards from the KC/Wharf bumps my lead from 17-10 to 51-10, and it still takes a couple turns to end because all the gold is clogging up my deck.  ;D

You should have gone for a pile out.

On the setup turn with 13 buys and $27 I couldn't do it, but on the next turn with 10 and $47, on turn 16, I probably could have, and should have.  Just started clicking Province before I thought about it.

When you're ahead, play conservatively. When you're behind, take risks. [or something like that]

Dear opponent,

I'm sorry I got a 2-5 on a board with Mountebank and Soothsayer, gave you 6 Curses and 5 Coppers by turn 8, and Inherited Trader the turn before you played Mountebank for the first time.

Dear opponent,

I definitely feel some guilt over my game 7 tournament win. I was first player on a board with Goons, King's Court, Council Room, Plan, and honestly I overlooked it before turn 1, Fishing Village. You outplayed me for the first few turns, but after I was the first to get 2 King's Courts, on the first turn I connected them with a CR, I hit exactly enough buys to empty a second pile and buy out the Curses. Crazy finish to a fun, tough series.

I knew i should have gotten a few kc
Also no need to feel guilt. I probably should have played better in the earlier games so as to leave room for things like this.

Dear myself, I am sorry that in a straight Council Room / Fool's Gold deck with 3 Council Rooms, I drew the other 2 Council Rooms every single time I played a Council Room (granted, this is likely to happen early, but later in a deck of 30 cards.. come on!).

At the end of his previous turn, he drew a hand of three Rats, so he probably just played them all, and it snowballed on him.
I was using Rats, too, to try to Remodel them into Hirelings/Gold, which I think may have been his intention as well.
