I'm not actually sorry about this but I thought it was worth getting a lol.  I open Thief and win using a deck mainly based on Thief and Scout.  All victory points except a Harem get bought out.

This has the look of a great set of cards.  My opponent opens potion/masquerade.  I open herald/masquerade.  I think he probably should have won, but my herald hit my masquerade on turn 4, which drew my potion that i had bought turn 3 into my hand to buy a university before he could.  I couldn't have had better shuffle luck, and for that I am not sorry, but I do feel sorry for anyone who loses a game not based on skill, but on luck.

Man. I had four strips of bacon yesterday. Was one automatically undercooked, one automatically overcooked? No, let's put a stop to that right here, all four strips were excellent.

Thief+BM is better than straight BM, and your opponent's play was pretty questionable (a few times buying Masterpiece with $3...), so not that crazy. I wonder though if Thief+FG would do better, or how Trading Post -> Masterpiece+BM would fare.

Dear Greens,

I'm sorry for the time I tried to build a KC Masquerade pin for the first time on a board where it didn't actually work, and I slowed you down enough to make buying all eight provinces take a really long time.

Opponent: turn 4
B plays 2 Silver, 2 Copper
  buys Gold
  gains Gold
C draws 2 cards
  shuffles deck
  draws 3 cards

Kirian: turn 5
A plays Sir Michael
  Opponent discards Estate
  Opponent discards Copper
  Opponent reveals: Gold, Copper
  Opponent trashes Gold
  Opponent discards Copper

*Your Opponent is Having Connection Difficulties*

I'd be much more sorry if s/he'd just resigned rather than RQing.

My last two turns, I swindle province into province to end the game while ahead.  The first one I set up with Scrying Pool....the second was just luck.

your opponents played much worse.  the one who went for highways failed to get any extra buys until too late (T14).  peddler apprentice here looks like it ought to have been more dominant, but I guess the highway race forestalled that...

I open Mountebank, my opponent opens Swindler. He gets to play Swindler four times, hitting: Estate, Estate, Silver, Curse. I play Mountebank eight times, and he never once has a Curse to discard, so I win the curse split 8-1. Did he start the game by throwing a black cat at a mirror?

And I still only win by six. Must have played it very badly.

Is there a black cat on the Remodel card?  :)

Bad luck for him that you got the 5/2 start, but he didn't help himself by opening Swindler/Remodel. Mountebank is such an important card here; he needs to maximize his chances of getting one on the second pass through the deck. I think he should've opened Swindler/Silver.

My two opponents, I am sorry for game that we had recently. Only cantrips were spy and market and my strategy was to throne kings courts spies that could choose among six cards and they revealed like 10 moats per turn.

Choose among six cards?  What do you mean by that?

Dear my opponent, I'm sorry that you got a 5:2 split on a Witch/Moat board and then proceeded to use your moat to draw the witch three times, giving me an eventual 9:1 curse split.

He shouldn't have bought a second Moat at turn 3.

He shouldn't have played his Moat at turn 4, when it was 100% certain he would draw the Witch with it.

Looks like you have nothing to apologize for. He blew this one.

Dear My Opponent: I'm sorry for being a plagiarist.

When I first looked at this board, I had no idea that Hamlet-Watchtower would be a thing. I never would've gone for an engine like that; I only went for it because you were first player, and you went for it first. I then got some shuffle luck, and that was the end of it.

You would've won for sure if I was first player; I would've had less chance to copy you. I'm sorry.

A game against the master of Salvager himself :

http://gokologs.drunkensailor.org/static/logprettifier.html?20140316/log.5101a6c4e4b02b7235c3860f.1394958955755.txt

Code: [Select]
Native Village, Forager, Masterpiece, Death Cart, Navigator, Procession, Cultist, Ghost Ship, Farmland, Forge
He opens 2/5, I've got 3/4. So yeah, I'm going to be flooded with ruins.

So I think : what the hell, I'll use Death Cart to get rid of them (and take two extra ruins as bonus).

I end up with the 10 ruins but in some mysterious way I still manage to win this.

Sorry Andrew.

Dear rajeevbat:  With a junker out, you really should have gone Chapel here.  However, I'm still sorry that I was able to play KC-Mint on Platinum three times during the game.  That was probably overkill, and I guess the last one was pretty gratuitous.  It was also dumb luck to get KC-Mint to line up three times.

Dear Jog,

I am really sorry. I hit 4 x $4 in the beginning on this cultist board. You covered me with 9 ruins. And still I won. :s

I don't think you have to be sorry when your opponent is the one who gets lucky and you still win.

EDIT: I didn't read the log though.

Yes, I think there's recently been some confusion between this thread and this one.

Dear hirotashi, I'm sorry for opening 5/2 on the sort of board that makes you want to quit playing Dominion.  It was probably the most unfair game I've ever played.

Turn 10:

marcory - plays Jester
secret tunnel - shuffles deck
secret tunnel - reveals Bank
secret tunnel - discards Bank
marcory - gains Bank

Turn 15:

marcory - plays Jester
secret tunnel - reveals Bank
secret tunnel - discards Bank
marcory - gains Bank

Turn 17:

marcory - plays Remake
marcory - trashes Bank
marcory - gains Province

Turn 18:

My last two Provinces were directly the result of those Jester'ed Banks.

I mirrored his opening and won the Curse split 8/2 thanks to having Remake connect with an Estate. I can't imagine it being too fun having been on the receiving end of that.
