Opponent buys last Province.
Opponent loses by 1 point.
Opponent's last hand is 2x Gold, 1x Silver, 1x Copper, Farmland is is kingdom.

Awkward...

Or...his Turn 16 Farmland turning copper to SC and Turn 17 SC purchase both could have been Estates.

I played a game yesterday with goons  tactitian and villages and chapel in the kingdom.
I must say i feel very sorry for my opponent who didnt go for a double tactitian deck.
I played the game so horribly, buying explorers and stuff at start and when i converted into double tactitian 4x Goons
i even played worse: trashing my second tactitian twice with chapel by accident, playing all cards so my second tactitian didnt trigger
and buying more coppers with the goons than i could chapel away next turn.
He had a huge lead and could have won if he would have spent his 11+ $ hands on provinces instead of colonies. I already gratulated him for the win and asked if we yould play another game on the same board so i could really play the deck i failed so hard on this game.
In the end i still won by 3 points. Didn't make me feel good after all.

I am so sorry that I got a 5/2 opening on a Rebuild board and you don't know the power of Rebuild.

Dear spice merchant, I'm sorry you fell just short of ending the game in time, and that you had never heard of this combo before. It must have been deflating to have your 80 point lead annihilated out of nowhere.

by some freak of luck I got this kingdom in a pro game:

King's Court, Masquerade, Outpost, Grand Market, Woodcutter, Highway, Mining Village, Smithy, Vault, Harem.

Log: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130628/log.50f5fe6be4b03946044c8a82.1372448857841.txt

Well, I looked at that and decided that I mean, I just can't pass up this opportunity...

And it almost didn't work. I played fairly badly I think. He got 18 full turns before I finally got the pin to work. He managed to get 7 colonies, a province and two duchies. If he had gone for provinces he would have won. From turn 19 on he had 0 card hands, from playing KC-masquerade with no cards in deck, discard, or hand, both during my regular turn and in my outpost turn. He stuck around for a few rounds though before quitting. He had never seen the combo before, and thought it was hilarious. and since my deck was full of cantrips, not just a 4 card deck of "KC, mining village, masquerade, outpost", my turns took a long time.

I'm sure most of you know the pain of getting a 4-3 start and watching your opponent open Mint/Fool's Gold.

It turns out that Butcher/Fool's Gold is also pretty painful. I'm sorry.

Just played a game with perfect t3/t4... that just opens up strategies otherwise unplayable.

Opening Jack/Wishing Well
t3: necropolis, jack (discard hovel, trash overgrown estate), wishing well (yes copper) use $6 to buy Nobles.
t4: necropolis, jack (discard copper), wishing well (yes copper), nobles for cards, use $8 to buy another Nobles, trash hovel.

"Sorry" ;)

It's kind of his fault for buying an extra potion, especially with Stonemason on the board, allowing you to gain two Universities at once. Maybe, that is why he went for the extra potion, but a mistake nonetheless.

He got the first KC-Possession off, but whiffed on my hands.  My first possession, I took all of his...and it just snowballed from there.  This really is brutal.

This game is the reason Possession is so rage inducing. Just makes me want to punch the wall when something almost as bad as this happens to me.

Dear, A Drowned Kernel

I'm sorry that I hit a perfect turn 4.  I collide my Warehouse, JoAT and Necropolis.  This allows me to cycle my whole deck, trash my OE, play the JoAT that i bought on T3, and left me with 6$ in my hand for Gold.  After that my luck continued buy Provinces on turns 6, 7, 8 and 10.  You can't really beat that, but you did come close.

Dear sherouse,
Your Rats/Transmute/Duke plan was magnificent.  Once I figured out what you were up to, I was sweating bullets and about to resign.  Then I stole your plan and pulled off an epic comeback I didn't deserve in the least.  Bravo to you.

That combo seems more like a nombo to me. You bought your 5th Duchy on turn 15, and at the time didn't have any Dukes. I'm pretty sure straight BM can do that well or better, then be in a better position to buy Dukes afterwards. (Although to be fair, there's almost nothing to help out BM+Duke here. Hamlet or Market to pick up extra coppers, maybe?)

I think Duke will lose to SP quite handily, but Transmute + Rats is a great way to transition into Dukes from the SP engine.

Seriously, I think this is the time that the difference in opening draws had the most impact in a game I've played.
