Dear Wimlore,
I'm sorry I made you suffer through a 0-4 province comeback with a pawn/sp/saboteur engine.

I think he should be sorry (for himself) for not committing to a Minion engine or following you into a Scrying Pool engine.

Dear ihstax,

I'm sorry I said "gg" to you prematurely, and that I pulled off a baffling comeback a few turns after you had a guaranteed win. You got to open Vault/FG and I didn't, so I was behind the whole game. I was so desperate towards the end I violated PPR, not knowing your next hand was Vault-Gold-X-X-X. You inexplicably discarded to my Vault and didn't have enough money for a Province. We then traded Duchies and Estates until I luckily got a hand of Gold-FG-FG to eek out the win.

Dear WhiteRabbit1981,

Sorry I possessed you 12 times to your 1, without TR/KC, on a board with some other nice Alchemy cards... and Ambassador... and also gained a bunch of nice stuff using your Jester.

I've noticed that this thread seems to have a lot of "sorry I outplayed you" or "sorry you made a big mistake" (of which this is an example, with that bad discard).  I always thought this thread was more for "sorry I got super lucky" stories.

The first post of the thread says "Okay, this is a thread to post games where you did something that made you actually feel sorry for your opponent. Post the game, explain why you are sorry, and let discussion ensue." In the game you quoted, I actually did feel (at least a little) sorry for my opponent for winning when I shouldn't have won. I see this thread as a broad "sorry that..." ;)

Dear NotSarah,

I'm sorry that my single Chancellor confused himself with Stash and ended up in my first hand the the shuffle 6 hands in a row (in a deck of 30 cards).  It wouldn't be so bad if the weren't all good hands: 4 Provinces and 1 Pstone bought with a deck that was total crap.  You can't beat that kinda luck.

For eHalcyon:

Dear OnlineDM,

I'm sorry I hit a turn 3 King's Court and paired it with my Black Market and Quarry on the next shuffle to buy Mountebank, Ambassador, and Margrave from the BM deck on turn 6. I'm also sorry my King's Court found my Ambassador on turn 8 and my Mountebank on turn 10. I was kinda surprised you even hung around that long.

Dear --Underdog--,

I'm sorry that I failed to buy a third silver.  That drew the game out way, way longer than it should've gone. I mean, you clearly didn't respond to Ambassador correctly (Scrying pool was a questionable choice), but I spent some 20 (!) turns doing nothing but ambassador-ing (playing like 5 hamlets every turn) the ever loving crap out of you before getting a gold.  And it didn't help that I proceeded to go for colonies from there.  I'd have resigned well before turn 32.  That was pain.

Dear oh be one,

I'm sorry that I had the bestest Trader ever against you, when I had it in hand on turn 3 against your turn 1 Jester, and again on turn 6 against both your Jester and your Witch, and again on Turn 8 against your Jester yet again.  Then IGG and Trader made their beautiful music together.  It's not often easy to get 5 Provinces and 7 Duchies with IGG on the board, but when you have 11 silvers in your deck and only four of them came from trashing estates, well...

First time posting here.

Dear Vive, I'm sorry that you seemed to lost internet connection on the (second) last turn in a game in which you definitely outplayed me and surely would have won.

Dear terminus,

I'm sorry about that 5-2 start on the Mint-FG board and I'm really sorry that it came on a board with Adventurer on it too. Thank you for playing it all the way to the end.

Signed,

Wingnut

Dear mike35: Sorry.  Just... possession.  OK, possession on a board with KC/Governor/Border Village/Salvager.  On the plus side, I ended the game by getting 45 points from your deck on the first turn of the KC-Possession so you didn't have to sit through the rest.

Ugh.  I knew it would be messy when I saw KC, Saboteur, and Bridge on the board along with Pirate Ship, but with only Upgrade and Wishing Well on the board for any sort of +Action at all, I didn't picture 20 Saboteur plays in 18 turns culminating in the KC-KC-Bridgex3 megaturn.

http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20130114-203427-5a3286fe.html

The setup: Cellar, Coppersmith, Develop, Governor, Jack of all Trades, Mandarin, Market, Mint, Tactician, Treasury.

Turn 1: I bought a Cellar.

Turn 2: I bought a Mandarin.

Turn 3: I bought a Mint.

Turn 4: I bought a Governor.

Turn 5: I used the Governor to gain a Gold.

Turn 6: Never happened, because my opponent resigned.

My apologies to my opponent. A 2-5 start was overwhelming on this board.

Dear as if,

I'm sorry I opened 2/5 on an Embassy/Tunnel board with nothing else going for it, bought a second Embassy turn 4 and never had them collide the entire game. You had literally 0 chance.

I did this once in a Goons game...said I was resigning and then drew an incredible hand and just barely won. As long as you tell them never mind you aren't resigning its okay, right?
