Dear Astaro,
I'm sorry you ignored Saboteur like a decent reasonable person after beating me to King's Court, and I'm sorry that there were sufficient alternate victory cards that I could just keep ignoring them for so long to make sure I kept ripping apart your deck... And I'm sorry the game ended with 3 of your Provinces and 4 of your KC's in the trash...

Dear MrDuo13, I'm sorry the kingdom we were dealt had Governor and Chapel, and I got the 5/2 and you didn't. It made it a little too lopsided.

Dear caaad,

I'm sorry that you happily took 5 curses from my Torturer chain because you had a Forge in hand, only to find out that you had to discard down to 3 cards because of my Militia.

Dear I pooped in my boots,

I am sorry that you bought shanty town instead of masquerade. They draw the same amount of cards that first shuffle, but you have nothing to do with the actions, and masquerade improves your future hands? I'm not sure why you didn't buy it, but that is the reason my quarries racked up into some very fast grand markets. I shouldn't have even bought that silver i think. Anyways thanks for the game.

Dear joshuac, I'm sorry for this game.

Yes, I required some cards because I felt like some King's Court/Goons fun. I didn't imagine I would end up playing 9 Coppers at $13 each.

Bazaar(multiples), Laboratory, (multiples) Chapel (just one), Goons (four), Bishop (two).  I just kept buying Bazaars and Laboratories so long as I could draw my deck and play all four Goons and both Bishops and trashed out Laboratories with the Bishops until I had an optimal number and then bought provinces and trashed them.  I have no idea what they were doing, but I feel a little less bad for them because they didn't buy any of the above cards and just let me do it.  The final score was 100+ - <10.

So I'm sorry, but also curious what their plan was.

Hey, what percentage do you think of these games contain KC?  :)

King's Court -> King's Court -> Scheme -> Scheme -> Torturer

King's Court -> King's Court -> Scheme -> Scheme -> Saboteur

I am not sorry I played them. I am sorry for the unseemly gloating. I just wish you 3 hadn't resigned before I finished setting up

King's Court -> King's Court -> King's Court -> Scheme -> Scheme->  Scheme -> Torturer -> Saboteur

Dear Kodamarama2,

I am sorry that I got Trusty Steed, Followers and Bag of Gold not only on the same turn, but using a single Province. I'm impressed you stuck it out for a few turns instead of resigning right away.

Dear irata,
I'm sorry I got literally perfect shuffle luck for a Chapel/Bishop golden deck.

Open Chapel/Silver.

Turn 3: Chapel, Copper, Estate, Estate, Estate => trash Copper and 3 Estates.
Turn 4: Silver, Copper, Copper, Copper, Copper => buy Gold.
Turn 5: Gold, Silver, Copper, Copper, Copper => buy Bishop (and trash Copper to opponent's Bishop).
Turn 6: Chapel, Copper, Copper, Copper, Copper => trash 4 Coppers.
Turn 7: Bishop, Chapel, Gold, Silver, Copper => trash Chapel, buy Gold.
Turn 8: Bishop, Gold, Gold, Silver, Copper => trash Copper, buy Province => Golden deck.

Seriously, how often do you draw your Chapel with a Copper and three Estates on turn 3, and again with 4 Coppers on turn 6?

Dear TheSadPanda: I am sorry.

I forgot the ancient maxim: "Don't ever underestimate Highway/Wharf, even in a Colony/Mountebank/Bishop game."  My grandfather taught that to me when I was little, but for some reason it slipped my mind until a few moments ago when you amazed me.

I thought for sure I had the game locked up, and then your brilliant comeback reopened my eyes.  Alas, you did not deserve to fall short by just one point after that amazing use of Highway/Wharf/Farmland, 87pts. to 86.  Sadly, it was a win that went to the lesser man.

If councilroom was up we could find it easy enough.

I miss councilroom.

Dear lundkvast,
Sorry I was able to hit an early golem allowing me to get tons of bane shanty towns and win the curse split 8-2 while rabbling you 3-4 times a turn. But 2 card hands are still fun right?

So I've read this thread, but never thought I'd post in it...

But, Dunse, sorry about the Ambassadoring curses then adding Saboteur in and frustrating you engh for you to resign.  It's just, you beat me to 5 Minions, so I had to do something...

Dear joebiz,

Sorry that I had to make a heavy Goons game so painful. If I'd been thinking more clearly, I probably could have ended it faster by piling Estates - but progressively building the engine was just too attractive. I actually misclicked once and failed to play the Outpost; although actually I didn't get it in hand as often as I thought I would.

But yeah, next time, don't underestimate Alchemist in a Goons game, okay?
