This is my biggest iso pet peeve. If you are really giving up, resign! Otherwise, keep your cool, and play it out.

I do this all the time. Didn't realize it was that annoying.

For example:

http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20120811-103220-1194ba07.html

A board with both Mint and Fool's Gold. I said "gg" as soon as I saw my opponent's 5-2 start.

Somehow, my Salvager/Fool's Gold opening proved to be sufficient.  :)

My meanest game ever had feast, wharf, and kings court on it.  I was cruising to a pretty easy win with my engine set up long before his.

Then he goes and buys a saboteur on me. I was like, "Oh hell no, I was going to be nice and just finish you off, now it's time for the pain."

the next turn I had a spare feast laying around, so I kings courted it into 3 sabs and played them.  The next 3 turns (until he resigned) I sab'd him 9 times a turn reducing his deck to mostly silver copper and estates.

Stealth Tomato --

I'm sorry that in our game last night where I wasn't even all the way focused on the game (watching Breaking Bad with commentary), I won the Curse split 8-2...after you opened with the Bane (Pearl Diver) and ended up with more of them than me. That was a really ugly game that I really only won thanks to shuffling.

... getting +$1.
crazyrunnerguy buys a Colony.
(crazyrunnerguy reshuffles.)
(crazyrunnerguy draws: a King's Court, a Colony, a Hunting Party, a Gold, and a Fool's Gold.)

Playing Cat Daddy. Opened 2/5, went Fool's Gold (only 2 option)/Hunting party and went nuts from there. King's Court really makes Hunting Party just insane. This was a typical turn for my six of my last 8 or so. Game ended on Turn 18 when I trashed a KC /w Salvager and bought a colony with the +7 and a platinum in hand.

Dear Tredor of Goko:

I want to apologize for taking enormous long turns with my insane engine.  You must have been terminally bored while I prattled on about using Schemes on Hunting Grounds to myself.  I feel bad.  :(

I was thinking about this as I watched the video yesterday.  You were going on about how fun engines are, and I just kept empathizing with your opponent.  I watched it just after your "three player hell" video, so maybe I was more sensitive to long turns.

I saw KC-Masq-Monument on the board and saw a pin opportunity. I trashed down 2 KCs (later became 3 because of his masq play), 2 monuments, and a masq. He was never really able to get anything going but he stuck it out until all of his cards were gone.

Couldn't he just play a Masq of his own and ruin your deck?

He did, but he ended up passing me KCs or Monuments, which made no difference. Maybe that's all he had, I don't know.

He still had the gold, plus the cards he drew.

Dear SirBobbyTee,

You must have never played with Ambassador before.  You must have though I was being nice giving you estates and coppers, but you should have realized when I was giving you two coppers each turn that you should have picked an Ambassador up to return this favor.  Finishing the game with 22 points and 23 coopers must not have felt good.

Sincerely,

Unlinked

P.S. I had no more time to keep playing, and only had $6 on my final turn and needed the game to end, that is the only reason I gave you Province with my Ambassador.

You should have bought a curse if you are just going to destroy somebody with ambassadors

I considered it, I was thinking about the purple piledriver accomplishment once i got the engine going. A early few turns i had enough buys but not enough points to do it in one turn. As i got the provinces they blocked me from drawing my deck and getting enough buys.

You should have bought a curse if you are just going to destroy somebody with ambassadors

I did that once.  It also involved Ambassadoring over the entire Potion pile.  He quite literally did nothing every turn.

Dear my opponent, I'm sorry this game ever happened.
http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201302/12/game-20130212-083441-14750171.html

Having 7 KC as well as cities, havens, pawns and margraves by turn 8 must just be painful to be against.

Dear Geronimoo, I'm sorry for this game, especially on my turn 15 in which I matched two... no, three KC, plus my two YW and you had Lighthouse neither in hand nor in play for the first time. http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201302/20/game-20130220-120102-24b84b3c.html

Chocolate is like victory points in Dominion. Both taste good but they'll hurt you if you eat too much of it instead of something else in your early days.

Dear Lord Bottington, I'm sorry I totally crushed you. Again.

Dear Lord Bottington, I'm sorry I set up a kingdom where I played KC-KC-Goons-Masquerade against you for all eternity.

Dear Lord Bottington, I'm sorry I set up a kingdom where I abused KC-KC-Bridge-Bridge-Bridge against you.

You should have bought a curse if you are just going to destroy somebody with ambassadors

I did that once.  It also involved Ambassadoring over the entire Potion pile.  He quite literally did nothing every turn.

Sorry or quoting an old post, but I just laughed out loud.
