Dear CrazyCopper,

My apologies for getting a King's Court first then Embargoing it with multiple embargo counters. My apologies for using saboteur on pretty much your entire deck. My apologies for having turns that lasted way too long to be sociable.

Dear Sylviel
My apologies for getting a 5/2 opening exactly in the game in which it leads a tremendous advantage !
Vault on turn 1, Grands Markets on turns 3 and 6, and so on...
And for embargoing the vaults before you gained one in a game without trashing, too !

Dear sonnyset, I am sorry that A) The first time you played Torturer, I KC-Ambassadored the curse back to you. B) That happened twice. C) The third time you played Torturer, even though I forgot that there were no more curses and I discarded, It was noneffective. http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20120529-081539-3f730682.html Oh, and, the reason why there was a mysterious Pawn/Island rush was because I wanted to end the game; I had to go somewhere.

Dear greatexpectations,

I am sorry that, thanks to truly absurd shuffle luck, I managed this sequence of buys:

Turn 1: Silver
Turn 2: Navigator
Turn 3: Stash
Turn 4: Silver
Turn 5: Gold
Turn 6: Gold
Turn 7: nothing
Turn 8: Province
Turn 9: Province
Turn 10: Province
Turn 11: Province
Turn 12: Province

http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20120530-202702-4c2c0f63.html

On Turn 7, I drew all three Estates together AND they missed the reshuffle.  On Turn 10, my Navigator discarded a hand of Estate-Estate-Province-Province-Copper.

greatexpectations, thank you for being a good sport about it.

So I never really thought I would post here because I don't like passive-agression or appearing to humblebrag, but...

Dear Obi Wan Bonogi,

I'm so sorry that you didn't hit $6 until turn 19, and only hit it once more during the game. That was some really rotten luck. You blamed buying two quarries but even with that, you had some *terrible* luck. Thanks for being a fun opponent and a great sportsman!

Heh.

Frankly I think you were both crazy to go for cursing attacks in an Ambassador game, and for potions in a King's Court game. Torturer was an especially silly choice though, as its not even a compulsory curse.

As a rule of thumb I'd say that the priority in a King's Court game is getting to $7 as soon as possible. A pure game of ambassador, king's court and pawns could easily have been enough, I think.

Dear F'ing New Guy

I'm sorry you vetoed Tournament and then watched me pull it out of the Black Market along with Wharf, Rabble, Bishop, Apprentice, Salvager and Hamlet in a game that already had King's Court available. Needless to say you had little chance despite finding some decent cards in the Black Market yourself (Margrave, Remake, Worker's Village among them).

The legend of the free provinces has awaken...

Dear Demigro, I'm sorry for this game with King's Courts, Bridges, as I got the $9-cost-reduction and you didnt, and I was upset when I saw you got first a KC+bridge to gain 3 bazaars ! And sorry for buying my single rabble and immediatly get it with KC and Bazaar, too !

Sorry to DomDeLouise. I had a game against him where I pulled a tournament from the Black Market  on turn 4, then got a province on turn 6, and connected my one tournament with my one province on turn 8, all with no enablers besides a single oasis and money. I really felt bad about that.

Okay, swindler has stricken once again...

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201206/24/game-20120624-123351-c05ccdc8.html
Dear mazer, sorry for this game , where I forced you to possess me with swindling your mining village into a potion turn 6 (these were the only $4s), and when you bought an upgrade turn 6 I immediately changed it into a venture.
And because of other swindlers, most of them were kingcourted, and venture, you couldn't possess me... oh, yes, you did it after your turn 19 and you got a colony, but one turn later you would have got a kc+swindler hand to fix your deck i've so destroyed...

Still thanks for having played this game, it's my first time in about 500 games all platinums were gone.

It reminds me of another game few days ago, in which I had much kc+jesters, but I didn't keep the log... sorry for the player, anyway ; I also remembered I had kc+cellar in hand once as only action cards and I played cellar only, without even discarding kc, and still won with an huge lead.

Dear scion, I'm sorry I won the City split 6/4 even though I was buying Vineyards early, and that I subsequently piled in a Colony game before you could buy any Victory cards. Thank you for pursuing Remodel so aggressively.

Dear my opponent. I'm sorry I watched you buy a ridiculous amount of plats while ignoring the piles, and then ended the game on piles just when you started buying green

Swindler-related :
Dear Final Fantasy, first you've a nice name, then, as we played 4 games together and we both won and lose 2, I won the 3rd one thanks to my swindlers who always used spells like Flare, Meteor, Death...
Turn 3 : quarry (your $4, of course) -> coppersmith
Turn 6 : Worker's village -> coppersmith
Turn 9 : Smugglers -> chancellor (and I bought a 2nd swind)
Turn 16 : I dealt you the only curse in this game like this !
http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20120704-015832-86e3d091.html

King's court related :
Dear daaaaavid, I'm sorry first for buying an early KC (turn 5 !!!) and gambling that they would collide with one of my two mountebanks... they did turn 11, and you had no curses !
And I'm sorry for this 9-3 platinum split, as on your turn 22 you margraved me, which allowed my KC, mint and plat to meet each other... these were the 3 cards I kept in hand !
So... thanks for this game !

Dear etlatino, I'm sorry for Embargoing the Golems after you bought a Potion, and then Embargoing the Colonies when the Council Room count was 1 to 0, and then Embargoing the Colonies again when I had a 15-point lead. I hope you don't feel too bad about having 8 Curses in a game with no attacks.

Dear pewpew,

I'm sorry I opened embargo/potion to your embargo/ghost ship and then played an extruciating amount of scrying pools and hamlets when you embargoed alchemist:

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201207/09/game-20120709-113752-02620a5b.html

(but I don't know why you embargoed alchemist after I bought scrying pool with $4 p)

Dear aaaaaa
I'm sorry that after getting margrave witch and ambassador from black market I had a good turn. I would have posted this in decline of civility thread but it's locked.

As for resigning, I believe if you just click: exit, the server should handle it gracefully and not cause problems for your opponent. Just don't close your browser.

Could someone correct me if I'm wrong?

If I'm right, then there is no need to wait for someone's mega turn to resign, and no need to ask them to skip it, if you are truncating the game anyways (which I don't personally mind).

Dear Ravnica,

I'm sorry.  I really should have ended this game sooner, but when you see an opportunity to get the Silk Roads/Gardens/Estates triple piledriver, you really just have to do it.  I'm sure if I'd timed things right I could have gotten four piledrivers including workshops or great halls, but even I am not that cruel.  Not that I even played this well -- somehow I didn't see Workshop there until after the first turn.

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201207/13/game-20120713-081104-7feadde1.html

PS: Turn 2 potions with Possession being the only card on the board are usually a bad idea.
