This isn't my good playing, but my opponents bad luck. I can sum it up in on sentence:
My opponent had 4 king's courts, and was only able to play one.......

on a worker's village
*insert clapping smiley here*
Also, if I were your opponent, I would discard that Jester in disguise into the Cellar!

Dear Sam Special,

I'm sorry I possessed you 18 times. Respect for actually sitting through that instead of quitting midway

Dear tlloyd,

I am sorry for this game (http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201203/05/game-20120305-212833-1619baa2.html), in which my shuffle luck was surely rage inducing and the quality of my deck relied heavily on a pair of smugglers. And especially for that last turn, where every piece (many of which were smuggled from you) comes together miraculously for me to end an as-of-then tied game on my extra turn with the exact amount of treasure and number of buys needed to do so. This must have been absolutely infuriating.

I felt badly for the crazy luck that enabled the following game:

http://councilroom.com/game?game_id=game-20120305-162828-06d6f06d.html

My turns: Envoy, Silver, IGG, IGG, IGG, IGG, IGG, IGG (opponent resigned)

Dear Varsinor,
I sincerely apologize for you not realizing that Jester lets you give me a curse instead of a copper when you reveal one of my coppers. I am also sorry that my gamble at buying a Counting House payed off during my last turn where I bought the last Province with 11 coppers in play.

Jester cannot do this.  You are perhaps thinking of Swindler?

Yes, it was. Apology accepted. ;)

EDIT: By the way, I hate Smugglers. But the true culprit here was Menagerie, which you triggered almost every time you played it despite minimal trashing, no hand-management cards (warehouse, etc.), and a strategy that relied on using a few key cards in multiples (i.e., minimal variety).

Dear egg,
I am sorry that I was lucky enough to get both Goons and Menagerie from the black market deck. Menagerie probably would've been the closest to a counter to Goons, and considering that I got both, it left you in a lost position the second I got Goons. Even though I did one bad decision breaking my chain from going off, I still was able to end it with a bigger chain.

I hope you can forgive me,

Dear Bazinga!,

This is one of those games where a typical player wouldn't even notice how absurdly unlucky you were. Both of your opening buys came on turn 5, which happens with 1% probability.  The powerful cards were $5, and you repeatedly hit $4. Without attacks or "swingy" cards, the game was over by turn 6.

Dear SummerAnna,

I'm sorry that I made you sit through minutes of King's Court/Embassy/Hamlet combo clicking, only to follow that up with 9 possessions. I'm sure it wasn't fun for you. http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201203/11/game-20120311-143712-0f0692f8.html

Sounds like that calls for a new card:
REPOSSESSION: If you have two Goons, send them to repossess opponent's computer. Then finish whipping own your sorry butt playing as him.

Dear Kreacher:

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201203/12/game-20120312-140423-6fa35baf.html

I'm sorry your tribute flipped two tunnels on your first play, allowing me to amass 7(!) golds on my 7th turn. I'm also sorry I drew the optimal 8$ 4 times, drew gold-remodel-copper (1$ over) once, and warehoused a sixth province in an obscene 13 turns. I've never seen warehouse-tunnel go so optimally before.

Dear Snuggles, I am sorry. http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201203/25/game-20120325-092601-5e8e8a72.html

We both went for Young Witch (Bane Cellar), with some help from Fishing Villages. I felt pretty good about myself, cycling my deck as much as I could after every Cellar buy in the first few rounds to improve my odds of protection. But then it just got weird. Snuggles had 5 curses in no-time, and somehow I got my Cellars in place every time. I believe I handed Snuggles the final Curse on turn 13; I got zero. No skill involved. He was a perfect sport and sat it out to the end, announcing he reached his personal goal: going positive :)

Dear Leinad

I'm sorry my engine came together like clockwork while yours just fell apart in a big mess.  I'm also sorry that I bought all 8 Colonies and 5 Provinces on Turn 17.  That was cruel and evil.

Dear yuuna, you got the dream swindler hit in this game, trashing my potion in a crazy kingdom before I could play it and replacing it with a Treasure Map at a point when I had committed to Witch and Swindler. Instead of doing the sensible thing and taking a replacement potion, I thought "ahh, what the hell" and then...

— yuuna's turn 5 —
   yuuna plays a Swindler.
   ... getting +$2.
... perdhapley turns up a Potion and trashes it.
... replacing perdhapley's Potion with a Treasure Map.
yuuna plays a Silver and 2 Coppers.
   yuuna buys a Witch.
(yuuna draws: an Estate, a Potion, a Transmute, a Curse, and a Copper.)

— perdhapley's turn 6 —
perdhapley plays a Swindler.
... getting +$2.
... yuuna turns up an Estate and trashes it.
... replacing yuuna's Estate with an Estate.
perdhapley plays 3 Coppers.
perdhapley buys a Treasure Map.
(perdhapley reshuffles.)
(perdhapley draws: an Estate, a Witch, 2 Coppers, and a Silver.)

— perdhapley's turn 7 —
perdhapley plays a Witch.
... drawing 2 cards.
... yuuna gains a Curse.
perdhapley plays a Silver and 3 Coppers.
perdhapley buys a Witch.
(perdhapley draws: a Swindler, 2 Treasure Maps, an Estate, and a Copper.)

— perdhapley's turn 8 —
perdhapley plays a Treasure Map.
... trashing the Treasure Map.
... trashing a Treasure Map from hand.
... gaining 4 Golds on the deck.
(perdhapley draws: 4 Golds and a Copper.)

...This was followed by me trashing your Witch (via Swindler) on turn 11 and your own Swindler on turn 14 (before you even had the chance to hit something else of mine) while avoiding collision with my four terminal actions on all but two turns, leading to a 7/3 curse split. I have never seen a strategy so driven by dumb luck, and I'm truly sorry you had to be on the receiving end.

Dear pk_Brooklyn,

I'm sorry that when my late game Possession finally turned up (at the bottom of my draw deck) it was after you had spent 3 turns buying Silvers and saving your Treasuries up. And that your hand finally totalled $8 on the turn that I Possessed you, leading me to buy that Province and send your Treasuries back to the discard. Thanks for being a good sport; I would have been pissed.

Well it wasn't out of incompetence, just inattention.  Not realizing that when there are no $2's on the board, 5/2 opening with Horn of Plenty/nothing will lead to nothing but heartbreak.

I'm sorry for possibly playing this sub-optimally, and yet still cruising to a victory you just couldn't compete with by opening Mint/FG:

http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201204/14/game-20120414-110336-e587ded7.html

That's a ridiculously strong opening, and while I thought that gaining a few Council/Throne Rooms would make it that much more devastating (I should've grabbed a Steward with my first 5, to be honest), I forgot that Fool's Gold best friend is slim thin decks.

You did well to allow me only 6 Fool's Gold, but there still wasn't much contest, and it wasn't your fault.

I'm sorry.

I got King's Court -> Masqueraded a couple weeks ago in a deck where it enabled him to just trash all my cards. Is that the "pin"?

I also won a pretty nasty Highway/King's Court -> Feast game today that was just completely inappropriate (one opponent said "oh hell no, this is just ridiculous"; the other one said "what just happened???"). I'm sorry!
