Quickest an opponent has resigned?

Props to bmw for being a good sport - on turn 15, in the face of my budding FV/Council Room/Goons engine, he resigned.

What's the fastest an opponent you've been playing (or you yourself) has resigned?

I had one today resign on the 11th turn. Same general thing, I opened 5/2 with Mountebank-Native Village and got my second and third Goons on turn 11 and that was enough.

And he was a good sport too, throwing out the "gg" prior to the resign.

Turn 1: I buy Mountebank.
Opponent resigns.

And if that's not fast enough:
Turn 1: Before I even play my coppers, opponent sees KC/Possession, curses at me, resigns.

Yeah, turn 1.

But look at this. Not the fastest, but I was pretty lucky here:

Apparently it's a frequent case:

turn 1, I play 5$, mountebank on the board
"Seriously ? this game is over" and starts to play his coppers slowly one by one to make me resign.

For $5/$2 vs $4/$3 openings Mountebank/nothing is actually not that bad. The lucky $5 doesn't even win 2 out 3 games according to the sim. Mint/Fool's Gold is far worse for instance. And then there's Governor/Chapel (shudder).

I agree. I just played a game where I opened 3/4 against 5/2 and I ended up getting so far ahead I had time to pull off some fun tricks like buying two Treasure Maps and putting them on the deck with Watchtower.

I just played a game of 4/3 vs 5/2 where my opponent got Witch first turn. I lost, but it was surprisingly close.

I've won more than a few Mountebank games on 4/3 vs 5/2. Lost more, of course, but I think a lot of players aren't very good at Mountebank games anyway, so I often just go silver/silver, and hope that I can outplay them in the long run. A lot of R25- players don't have much of a feel for tempo, so will often buy green cards too late in a Mountebank game, I find.

I won't resign because of a lucky open - it can always turn around.  However, I can fully appreciate why my opponent resigned in this case.  It was fairly obvious he was not going to recover.

5/2 opening totally loses that advantage if the 5 misses 1st shuffle, and generally it isn't SO bad anyway.

Here's some numbers to make the point clearer:

Using Geronimoo's Default witch bot the 5/2 player has a 64% win rate. 2 to 1 odds is not worth resigning first turn.

And 5/2 start with first turn advantage gives a 75% win rate. 3 to 1 odds is still not worth resigning.

I had this happen to me today. I opened governor-chapel, Stef settled for silver-chapel. Game lasted 10 turns. Stef won.

Wharf, bank, mining village. Nothing else was important enough to get bought (I recall jester and navigator though).

I resigned (and said things I'm not proud of) after missing a necessary $3p twice in a row at the start >_<

Governor and Tournament were on the board - I opened 5/2, he opened 4/3.  Of course he opened Tourney/Steward.  I had to open Governor/nothing.  I was getting a Governor engine going, and finally had two Govs and two Golds in hand, which I was ready to turn into two Provinces, when his two Provinces collide with his two tourneys - he picks up Trusty Steed, then Followers.  I resigned.

After swindling his turn 1 harvest into a duchy on turn 3.
http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201208/08/game-20120808-140914-53f81ed6.html
The thing is, I considered turning it back into a harvest because it might be worse for him.
