I brewed my first batch of beer today.  Any other home brewers out there?

I haven't gotten that adventurous yet. Were you inspired by your brewfest trip?

Yep, and some peer pressure from my father in law.

My dad used to brew beer. It was kinda cool. I'm not very into beer, but the brewing process was fun.

The cost of entry is surprisingly low.  I've sent more $ on my physical dominion cards.

I greatly enjoyed brewing. I had a very high bar for what I would call "good beer" and my beer was exceptionally good. It is certainly an engaging hobby, both in study time and finances. Yes, you can get by on extract and buckets but if you want repeatable results and real control over the profile you'll have to make some investments.

When I quit drinking I sold all my gear. I still have a couple cases of 9.5% Baltic Porter that will age well for a couple more years that I have not decided what to do with.

homebrewtalk forums are the best imho.

Are you saying that I shouldn't be talking about brewing here, or that our community is inferior to homebrewing forums?

btw - excellent doctoring in m6.

I'll cover the shipping.  Pack them up and PM me your email for the paypal.

My home is used as a place for brewing by a friend of mine who doesn't have the space in his home. So far there's been one batch of beer using a Mr. Beer kit; pretty good. Right now there's some mead waiting to be bottled.

I'm saying if you want the best info you can get on Dominion you come to f.ds. If you want the best info you can get on homebrewing you go to HBT. It's not an inferiority thing, but I'm sure you're just jerking my chain.

And, thank you!
