iOS board games to try out

I know about the various websites devoted to iPhone and iPad board games, but I was wondering, what are YOUR favorite board games on iOS and why?

I really like Ticket to Ride and Carcassone. What others do you guys like?

I personally enjoy Ingenious and Small World.

Small World's a good game, but just takes too much time IRL, so it's nice on the iPad, but you can only play 2 Player.

Ascension is phenomenal (but not dominion)
Nightfall is also really well done (its basically angry dominion)    both of these are from playdek
Summoner wars is ok it has a good interface but the game isn't as great as alot of others have said

Catan is alright if you like Catan and they have Cities & Knights coming soon (which is IMO the best expansion)
Scotland yard is ok but its a much funner game to play with people then on a phone.

Assassins Creed Recollection and Shadow Era are really good CCGs that are freemium games. I recommend these to anyone who likes CCGs to just at least give a try.

Im excited for Agricola in the fall. and obviously dominion whenever it comes out.

I have an App that you can search for other apps and store them and it tells you when they get updated or change in price.
Its very handy for the expensive board games ones.

Really? What's it called? It seems like something I would love.

Appshopper

Its a bit of a hassle to get them all in to start with, but you can also put in games you own, have finished and deleted and it will tell you if they get updated

Just came over here to post this. I haven't tried it yet (the app or the game). Looking forward to it!

Sid Meier's Pirates and Civilization Revolution are both on sale for $0.99 today.  I'm a huge fan of both PC games, but I heard the Civilization port wasn't so hot.  Anyone have some opinions on these?

(Also Borderlands Legends, but apparently that's a steaming pile of doodoo.)

From my time playing Revolution on the Xbox and talking strategy with iOS players, the biggest difference is that you can't decommission units, which is annoying, but not super huge.

Depends, how much do you value Nostalgia?

Plus, at 99c each, it would be rude not to try them surely?

PS Sid Meier's Pirates is just as addictive as ever.  Though probably it'd be more fun on iPad than iPhone.

I never played the original, but really liked it on ipad. Except for the dances.

That is not something unique to the iPad.  I applaud the developers for being able to adapt both the core mechanic AND the attendant frustration to iOS.

Demo of Sol Forge is well worth a try:

Too bad this is iPad only. Haven't been able to save for one yet. Looks like it has potential to be amazing though. Thanks for the link!
